Yeah, you can’t compare Kris to Danny. Kris can arrange his own music and sing it with heart and not just fanfare and cockiness, plus he can play the piano and acoustic guitar while singing. Danny has an interesting voice but then a lot of aspiring singers do, and that’s it. Goodluck to Danny. All the best for Kris!
Yeah. America got it right after a huge mistake was made last week. Danny deserved to be in the top 14 but shouldn’t come that far. I will put him into top 7 or 8. His performance is boring like hell. Adam is still the best, most entertaining while Kris was great last night too. Gooooo Adam, can’t wait for your album come out~~~

I think Adam is PLASTIC and a rocker fake. He looks like he’s been dipped in wax and is ready to slip into a Las Vegas gig…then Branson. He’s primped and canned….bah, I’m sorry Gorky is gone, he and Kris are authentic. Adam belongs at the Horror Show. Anybody but Adam.

I think America got it right! Danny should have been gone after Rock ‘n Roll night but he was lucky…so now you really cant escape fate.
Kris is amazing with how he arranges his songs. He may not have the same stage presence as Adam but he can hold his own. Im just a bit anxious that Adam might eat him up in the Finale.
Adam is a total performer…he’s always on key and always gives a good show.

Adam needs to be on Broadway. His rendition of ONE last night was horrible. I can’t believe Bono agreed to let him sing it he is probably regretting it now.
Remember the comment Simon made….people still need to vote. This is a talent and singing competition. Who will be the best performer? Who will you remember you saw years from now? Adam has already proven that. Am disappointed Danny is not in top two. I believe Kris has been carried along too long.

America definitely got it wrong! Danny is a better singer than Kris and he has way more personality. Doesn’t matter if Adam wins or not, even though he deserves to…he is already a HUGE STAR and will continue to be so for many years to come!
I think, overall, America got the vote right this time. We will have 2 distinct options next week between Kris’ goofy sideways mouth gyration singing style and Adam’s octave-ranging rock godliness. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I personally prefer Adam not only because of his talent, but also because he’s the first contestant to come along in eons to have an innate “rock star/rock idol” quality about him. The last one, in my humble opinion, was Daughtry. Kris will no doubt have a career in the music industry, but he just doesn’t present himself with the kind of presence, nor does he command the spotlight as does Adam.
As for Danny Gokey…hmmm…well it’s about damned time! Okay, I get it: he has a raspy, hoarse Terrence Trent D’Arby “Wishing Well”/Marc Cohn “Walking in Memphis” blues/funk/soul voice. Fine. If he were to win, “Idol” would once again be walking the perilous path of a niche winner who no one cares about by the time Dick Clark’s “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve” hits the airwaves. [NOTE: when was the last time you heard from Fantasia Barrino? (A prime example of a niche winner.) The only microphone she’s working with these days is the one at the front counter at McDonald’s she uses to call my order back to the kitchen!] The point being Danny Gokey has limited mass market appeal, which, if I am not mistaken (and I am not) is the point of the show. Also, Danny’s cult of self-personality wore thin on me in week 2. His self-centered smarminess was, well, NOT endearing. And quite honestly, after the Howard Dean-esque yell from hell last week, we should have had Alison here this week to vote for!

I was pulling for Danny, but I sure hope Kris takes it now. Adam is very talented & has great range, but someone needs to get thru to him that he doesn’t need to display it in every single song he does. The first time or two you hear it, you go, “Wow!” The 439th time you hear it, you go, “Oh, no, not again.” He needs to understand that sometimes less is more. His apparent need to go up to the shrill top of his range with his tongue wagging out on every single song is a huge distraction & takes away from the musicality of his performance. I was blown away by his rendition of “Mad World”. But I can never see myself buying one of his albums if he keeps interjecting his Adam-isms into every song he does because it would drive me frickin’ nuts!

I had a feeling Danny was going to be gone tonight, mostly because I feel and have read A LOT of comments on different blogs that were very negative about Dannny; that he came across as arrogrant and insincere. I didn’t see near that many negative commments on Adam and Kris, at least regarding their peronalities. I think people began to dislike Danny more and more.
I also believe Danny’s voice is better than Kris’, but his voice seemed to be getting weaker toward the end to me. He said in Milwaukee that his throat was hurting him at a performance. To me, Kris was more creative with his songs and arrangements. I think it was Danny’s personality that may have hurt him in the long run, although he acted more humble tonight that he had in a long time. Maybe this was just a little too much for him in the long run after losing his wife so recently and he was just emotionally drained toward the end. He looked that way to me at times. I do believe, however, that Danny did give it his best effort, considering what he has been through.
I thought this was a singing contest…..come on America wake up and smell the roses…are you really that nieve to consider that Kris is better than Danny or is it because he is better looking…and can have a better teen fan following who is more interested in looks rather than talent…You have just made American Idol the most boring show on the planet of the earth a Kris and Adam final would not have compared to a Danny/Adam final….Adam needs to watch out it’s not about talent anymore now….it’s the American Idol I’ve got better looks contest.

It sure is sad to have to let Gokey leave. Well, but if he’s lucky enough, with his commercial vibes and quite good looks, he’ll land a good record deal eventually. And, hey, what’s happening with Kris? Wow! Got to hand it to him, he has grown a lot throughout the competition, and as I once commented, he’s got that current-selling voice and looks–though, no matter what, I’d still go for Adam. No matter what! 🙂

I think they all three have great talent, albeit very different. Danny was my least favorite – mainly I thought he showed the least range and he’s quite awkward on stage. All that takes is some work with a good coach..he’s got the vocal ability. He shares that with Allison – she’s got the chops but needs some work and training. That said, am glad to see Adam and Kris in the final.
As for the final, comparing Adam and Kris is like comparing Steven Tyler to Kenny Loggins. Frankly I love both artists and I love both finalists. No doubting Adam has star power, stage presence and killer vocals. Kris, on the other hand, has strong vocals, a ton of musical talent and an understated but strong performance ability. Many performers have succeeded doing exactly what BOTH of them do – so both will have a great career I think. It really matters little which one wins next week, they’ll both do well afterwards.
WOW! To be really honest, I am really shocked to hear that Danny has dropped out. He has always been my best out of the rest, but now I am very disappointed about this. For me, I have to find out on the net, coz the show comes in delayed here in my country.
Anyway, I thought I should give a few last comments for my man Danny. Like I said to the others who dropped out before you, this is not the end of the world. Tomorrow is another day, and the sun will rise again. Maybe America got it wrong this time in the voting polls, but hey…that does not mean that there weren’t any people out there voting for you.
I’m glad that you made it this far and I am sure, your deceased wife is very proud of you. I will wait for your CD and I am definitely going to buy it. The competition would not be the same without you.

Having voted for Danny for 2 straight hours last night, I am disappointed. But my votes and many others will go to Chris. Somehow Adam is fake from his make-up to his hair to his smile. The American Idol is someone who is genuine and talented. Go Chris! And yes, I will be first in line for Danny’s CD.

My bet is Kris Allen for the American Idol Season 8 finale. I have been supporting him thru prayers since the start of season 8. I just don’t feel Adam Lambert is deserving to win this season because I have always been annoyed by his punky, demonic looks and by his style of singing (that is, sticking out his tongue whenever he tries to hit a high note). Performance-wise, yes, Adam may be better than Kris but, if you just try to listen to Adam sing without looking at him, all you can hear’s just SCREAMING and nothing else but SCREAMING. Whereas with Kris, you’ll both love watching him on TV or by plainly listening to him while singing. Kris has a natural singing talent and the ‘charisma’ of a true American Idol. PLEASE VOTE FOR KRIS ALLEN!!!
For me, from the beginning and each week Adam has been number one and Kris second, sometimes is not about the better voice range, is about uniqueness. It has been proven with Kris. He deserves to be in the finals.

Adam is great but his screams get irritating in the long run. I have to admit that I sometimes cover my ears when he does the high notes. It should have been Kris and Danny at the finals. I think there where only 2 good people this year Danny and the Blind guy Scott MacIntyre. With them out I could care less who wins. The only reason I will even watch the finals is because they come back to for the results show.
He should actaully be glad he got voted off because most guys that win don’t get as that much radio play but if you are not the winner you get so much more. For example season 2 winner Ruben Studdard I haven’t really heard any radio play and if I didn’t buy the albums then I wouldn’t have even known he had any out but Chris Daughtry he didn’t win but you hear him all the time on the radio.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! How in the world would someone like Kris who can’t really sing that well beat someone like Danny who has a soulful beautiful voice??? I don’t get it America! Are you guys deaf???? Geez! American Idol is a singing contest not a “best looking nice person contest!!!” So stupid!!! Danny Gokey is a far better singer than Kris. I don’t mind Adam Lambert winning because overall he really outperforms Danny and he really has a good voice, I am a Danny Gokey fan mind you, but I see things objectively. But Kris, he is an average singer who can play the guitar and piano. Sure he arranges songs well, but gosh, America got it wrong! What injustice!!! This is not the Dating Game, this is a singing, and talent competition..No one sings like Adam, no one moves like Adam, no one puts on a show like Adam, no one has originality like Adam, and no one has since week one. He is the real deal, he is the show, he is the American Idol.. It is unbelievable what he does in the 2 minutes the contestants are given.Chris did well last night, but is weak, and I mean weak when it comes to voice. It is an effort for him to sing, with Adam, it just flows. Most people I know can remeber every song Adam has done, try remembering more than one song any of the other contestants have done before last night..
I believe America did get it right tonight. That is my opinion.
Danny is talented, and left tonight with respect. I only wish some
of his fans did the same. The attacks on both Adam and Kris have
been ridiculous and way out of line. Attacking their looks and vulgar name calling. Danny was voted off, It wasn’t a conspirancy.The votes weren.t there. I like Kris, I think he has a pleasant voice, and is very humble.However, It should be Adam Lambert, all the way. Based on talent and the ability to make songs their own, Kris and Adam deserve to be the finalists – based on their performances in the Top 3.
You can argue as much as you like whether any of them should be in the final 3 but they were and Kris outshone all of them with “Heartless” and Adam was #1 overall with his songs.
Danny should never have been in the Top 3. However, he was “voted in” but did not take advantage with his performance in the Top 3.
Adam Lambert will be a Superstar irrespective of what happens next week and I wish the best to Kris who has a James Taylor sound about him.

Adam is a superb stage performer but is by no means Idol material and should have been eliminated ages ago for being way above the rest. In fact he should have gone over to the UK to audition for Andrew Lloyed Weber’s “Joseph” instead. However, who ever wins, will be deserving of the title and as for the rest of the contestants I’m pretty sure there future’s are well sealed, so one should really thank them for putting up an enjoyable show week after week.
We all know who is the best in this contest, we all know who has consistently delivered excellent performances, we all know who has the vocal range, we can all see who is unique, it is Adam Lambert. He puts meaning to every song, when he performs the audience eyes are fixed on him. They are both talented guys but Adam is exceptional, we are not going to let him down next week, we will be voting for Adam.
DH and all other Danny “Croaky” fans, he survived on the Pity F**k vote.
His friend who took him to the auditions was better than DC but DC got through and survived on the PF vote.
Based on “talent” Danny Croaky should have been voted out weeks ago.
He will not be a “pop star” and that is what AI is about.

Adam scored for his 2-songs and Kris was #2 overall. So, based on the performances of the “Top 3” the final is justified.
It’s a shame that AI has not got a 1st/2nd/3rd categories. They are all 3 good singers but Adam has the versatility and for those who claim he cannot sing, please go to You Tube and watch his various videos (not those from AI) especially – Is anybody listening?Adam Lambert and perhaps this may change your mind. I personally would like to see him sing at the finals either Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody or Elvis’s Surrender or Crying in the Chapel.
Adam unfortunately has not got it in the bag yet because there will be a lot Danny fans that are homophobic that will go over to Kris so all I can say is if you are an Adam Lambert fan you will have to vote twice as much next week if he is to win.

I am not a fan of any of them. I just based on what I see on them each performance. Last night, Kris made it-he made a great interpretation of his own choice of song. I was overwhelmed by the rendition of his song. I knew then that Danny will be out. Danny was in hist best in the past until last Tuesday when Kris beat him.
Two men, Adam and Kris, in different category-Adam for Rock songs and Kris goes for ballad. They cannot be compared with each other. Texters will dictate who will win but Anoop, Allison, Danny, Kris and Adam are already sold out in the market. We are their prospective consumers..hahahah!

Thanks for this platform. I am from South Africa and absolutely LOVE American Idol. Our idols competition simply cannot be compared. I love all Judges .. they are so cool even Simon.
We are about two weeks behind .. but will catch up in time for the finale. Each Wed and Thurs 4shows are aired and then the Finale live and the next evening aired again for those who are not night owls in SA!! What we saw was Top 4 with Matt being eliminated. I loved Allison and know she has gone too. This year I guess its unpredictable… no doubt Adam will win. My other fav was Danny. Kris is good too but am surprised that Danny was eliminated.
I also enjoy the previous idols appearing each week. Can anyone shed some light on whether or not Kathering McPhee will perform.. and if not, why not?

Here in New Zealand we haven’t got past the top 4 yet. I have watched every single American Idol season and am the biggest fan. This season has brough something new – ADAM.
This singer makes me stop what I’m doing and watch in awe. I love his voice and I think he is very versatile. I wouldn’t be over stating it when I see him as a modern day ‘Elvis Presley’. I would go his concert and buy his album. Kris – you have a pretty face bu Adam – magic is what you do!

Absolutely agreed with Cathy. I was quite shocked on the results especially when i found out that Ryan called Kris Name first, the ultimate shocker of all and of course no surprise, Adam is the next one to be called out. The only main reason why Kris was not eliminated was because he did an excellent and amazing performance of “Heartless” (though “Apologise” not as powerful as “Heartless”) and people love it so so much. That’s it! Though Danny gave an brilliant, powerful, fantastic, amazing performances that were stronger and very powerful that Kris performances but, he still and am right now a very brilliant and marvellous performer. Too bad, people did not appeaciated and listened carefully to Danny performaces but were into Kris genius and intelligent/creativity performance. But neverless, i’m so happy and extreamly proud of Danny of all his achievements during and on Idol. I hope that he will get to release his debut album soon and hopefully, beat Kris later.

Okay now…I am somewhat confused here. Kris was the first called over to the couch…so did he get more votes than Adam? That’s how I took it. Must be because everyone can vote 200 times for whoever they want and it ties up the phone lines to where others who want to vote don’t have a chance. I don’t think that is right …but who am I to say and there is nothing I can do about that. I guess my point is that america does vote, but not all americans if you catch my drift. I was very sad to see Danny go for I feel he had way more talent than Kris. I really see Kris having a problem w/ his wife in the future handling the traveling/ fans grabbing at him, but not my problem either.

I blame Paula for choosing the wrong song for Danny. He did a great job with his arrangement of “You are so Beautiful”, but why did Paul choose “Dance, Sister, Dance”? In my opinion it really doesn’t matter much because I think we all know who is going to win, ADAM. I still wish the top 3 where Adam, Allison and Matt. I do not see what people see in Kris (crooked mouth) or Danny (Mr. Boring) they sounded they same each week. I know the judges thought Kris’s second song was BRILLIANT but I did not like it at all, I also hated Danny’s 1st song but his second was very good. Adam of course was good on both. Go Adam, you have been my pick from the auditions so lets take it all the way! Good Luck!

Kris and Adam, like them or not, showed their creativity on each interpretation from the start. Kris delivered something different in every song, made new arrangements to each one,not even one was a copycat of the original!! He has a very particular zone… he is well defined.
The problem with Gokey was that he always felt number 2, Kris worked hard every week, he did not sleep in his confort zone.

Very, very, disappointed that Danny is not in the finale but I am sure he will do well. I think it should have been Danny, Adam and Allison for the top 3. I wonder if things would have been different if the voters were only permitted one vote. Guess we’ll never know. But anyway, GOOD LUCK TO DANNY.

Danny has the most unique, hard-to-come-by, voice of the three finalist. I have worked with many singers who share the same vocal qualities as Adam and Kris; however, both of these guys share a rare combination of great vocals, tremendous talent, and outstanding creativity. The showdown between Adam and Kris should be one of the best and toughest to call in American Idol history. For me, between the two artists, I would buy the music that Kris puts out and only enjoy Adam’s as it is played on the radio.

Unfortunately, many young voters were probably influenced by the judges’ over-the-top praise, and blatantly biased comments after Adam’s theatrical and often ridiculous performances. It is obvious that many are suffering from serious hearing loss.
Many thanks to Danny Gokey for being the well-rounded, talented, intelligent and genuine person that he is. Very much looking forward to adding his first CD to my collection.

Yeah, Adam is really good at screaming, not singing. He has the “look” the will sell, but not the talent. Teeny-boppers don’t care how someone sounds. They just want a poster of a cute guy on their bedroom wall. With that alone, I’ll bet he will end up winning.

Kris made it for his rendition of heartless. Danny is good but he sounds like every other wanabee R&B singer. Adam is a superstar and has crossed all lines of color, age,lifestyles and gender. He has grandmother’s voting for him and he can handle the pressure. This guy can sing anything and lets not forget, he looks like Elvis. Welcome back Elvis, uh I mean Adam.

Anyone who says ADAM has no substance cannot possibly have listened to any of his songs – he is the real deal, with amazing talent, and I have never seen him be anything but sweet and genuine. He makes you believe his songs, with pure emotion.
Elizabeth, you have made some excellent points – if someone doesn’t like ADAM or Kris, or Danny, they can surely discuss it maturely, and with respect. Danny can sing, so can Kris, that is why they made it this far…, but I think they are both rather forgettable, OK singers, with probably a better future in music than they had before AI, but no matter what happens, ADAM will be a star. I agree that AI told ADAM second due to improving the suspense.
I wish people also wouldn’t assume that all of Danny’s votes will now go to Kris – it doesn’t follow any logic at all. I do know that ADAM fans need to vote continuously that is what the others do. To read that someone voted 1400 times for Kris is unsettling – I don’t have that capability. I can’t get through on my house phone about 25 – 40% of the calls and I get through zero times on our cell phones – Verizon does not get through at all! So is this a competition where the people who can get the most votes in have their favorite win? Or is it really based on the singer that performs all genres the best – that is what it should be…………
So, anyone who wants ADAM to win whether you were an Allison or a Danny fan before, or always an ADAM fan, remember to vote as many times as possible.

Kathleen F I fully agree with what you say, all the personal comments should stop, it should be kept to the individual talent. I also do not understand how some people state that Adam does the same thing all the time, I listened to his videos over and over again and each one is completely different, in all of them he displays his vocal range and fantastic voice control, all performed with emotion that gives meaning to the words. He is trully unique, all the people I know that have followed the American Idol performances all state that he is the one they remember. People need to pick up their phones as soon as the lines are open, I tried several times and the lines were all busy. I also admire him for remaining focussed and strong despite all that has been said. He is not arogant, quite the opposite, he comes through as caring, sincere, and very sweet. Adam is the one who deserves to the title of American Idol.
It really isn’t fair – because Adam can have his die-hard fans vote numerous times. Not really a true way of showing popularity. What if our presidential election was handled the same way? Not fair, right? Should be one vote per phone number. That will be the true test. All the little teenagers won’t be able to keep redialing for Adam.

Ron, I live in Connecticut – redial doesn’t even work – so I know there is a problem, sometimes, nothing happens – no ring, no connection, other times busy, busy, busy… others it says I didn’t dial #1 and my phone shows I did… very disappointing. My cell phone and my husband’s don;t ever get through – not even once!!!
Sometimes with redial, I can get in several votes, but it is upsetting to think that others can get in 1400 votes when I can only get in a few. Last week when ADAM was first, the calls went through MUCH better, but still none with cell phone, and I always try all the numbers.
I will keep trying for our BEST CONTESTANT ADAM!!!!
Isla, Adam has wide appeal because people like his look and he is different. You see a lot “Kris Allen’s” walking down the street. However, Adam would stand out like a sore thumb if you saw him walking down the street. Hey, you you may even run! LOL! He’s a weirdo.

Both Adam and Kris do have good looks, but there is something very special about Adam that is why he is unforgetable, that is why people will be voting for ADAM LAMBERT.
Sorry, I can’t agree Bis. I listen to all Adam’s Itunes all the time, and so do my friends. I can’t wait for his first CD, and would definitely go see him in concert (if we lucky enough to get him in NZ).I don’t watch his videos, I listen to his studio versions. It’s not theatre or stage presence that makes him magical. It actually is his voice.

Have you girls ever thought about performers appearances? Look at KISS, how about the Beatles – they were rejected by many because they had long hair- it was the trend in the music industry at the time, and others copied them – Crosby, Stills and Nash for instance.
These musicians and many more have worn clothing, makeup and outrageous things to be noted- look at Ozzie Osborne- talk about crazy and strange appearance, but look at his popularity, perhaps not now, but he does still have a following.
ADAM does not wear nail polish in order to be memorable, he is memorable for his voice and TALENT – and I am in my 50’s and I find his appearance to be fresh and alive and with the times.. HE IS A PERFORMER, and not an accountant who also happens to be able to sing. The fact that people talk about him so much tells me that he has something going for him- he has caught our attention and kept it= and that is what it is all about.
As for the judges comments, I think they say the things they do sometimes to sway the votes, and other times they are brutally honest- I think they truly see ADAM’s talent and they know he is marketable – because he has TALENT and he dresses a certain way and has an image – he owns it.
I reeeaaallllyyyy like ADAM LAMBRT for his voice, control, ability, versatility,looks and performance – he is extremely entertaining and unique!!

I think all along people thought it was going to be a DANNY/ADAM finale, so that meant that if they liked Danny, they automatically didn’t like ADAM. Not very thorough in the logical thinking department, but from the comments that is what it seems like to me. Now they haven’t really thought about ADAM’s talent and voice, only that they didn’t want him to win…
Interestingly enough, they didn’t perceive Kris as a threat – WHY? because he doesn’t have the talent and draw that ADAM has- which tells a lot doesn’t it?
From the comments here today, it is so disheartening that someone would actually not vote for ADAM because he wears nailpolish – looks have nothing to do with talent- I was trying to point out that if a person can sing and entertain, his looks should not make you vote or not vote, see #226 Bis – she actually proved my point!

It always felt as though ADAM would be in the finale, and a toss up between Allison, Danny and Kris. Allison has talent, but some tone and voice quality issues, so it was right when she left, but I did like her with ADAM…
Now that it became a competition between Kris and Danny – the Danny fans should be mad at Kris for taking it away from him – they should vote for ADAM if they are going to vote at all so that Kris doesn’t walk away with the title that they think belongs to Danny.

I am really bored with the personal attacks Several Danny fans are upset at his elimination, but to blame it on favoritism is ridiculous.
The voting system is definitely flawed, but it is the same for all contestants, there is no limitation as to the number of votes for any of them.
I am a fan of ADAM, I feel he has been the best performer by far.While I feel Danny was talented, I believe his bad performance on rock week was his undoing as Allison was eliminated, when Danny by far had the worst performance. Kris is a good vocalist and musician, but again, He has no chemistry, no performance skills. And while he is vocally talented, his performances come off like karaoke. Slightly ho hum. If you believe all Adam can do is scream, check out his beautiful performances on youtube, beautiful ballads, including The Prayer, Come Home, and Dust in the wind. Or even his performances of, Mad World, or when he did Smokey Robinson’s beautiful song, and received a standing ovation, from Smokey, himself. A man who is highly gifted and talented, showing the ultimate appreciation for Adam’s performance, Are you going to say Smokey was tone deaf or was showing favoritism. Even a standing ovation, from Simon Cowell, truly something I’ve never seen before. To complain about Adam’s tongue is ridiculous, It as I have explained before is a technique to reach the notes he does. I believe everyone has a right to their opinion, but to blatantly attack on things of a personal nature is unfair. Kris has been continually attacked by a lot of Gokey fans, saying he only gets votes because he’s cute, or only from teeny boppers voting continuously. I am voting based on performance, Adam has consitantly been unique, including his Ring Of Fire performance, I am a Johnny Cash fan, But even people who personally knew Johnny Cash have said he would have been proud of Adam’s performance of his song, to do it the same as Johnny, would have been egotistical, That would have been interpreted as to someone thinking they could outsing Johnny, Adam showed respect by choosing Johnny’s song and performing it differently. Kris has greatly improved, but he doesn’t have Adam’s versatility, nor his connection to the audience. Kris is a singer, Adam is a performer, and Yes there is a difference. I agree that Kris has talent, he has the ability to sing some good songs with his interpretation, but he is so forgettable – just your average guy (who has recorded in the past). ADAM has magic, connection- he makes you feel his music and understand the lyrics with his emotion – rare and beautiful talent indeed.

Benny, I agree. I think America is jumping on the Adam Band Wagon. They think he must be good since he gets so much attention. Many celebrities are famous for doing nothing.
Wow, I have watched AI since the beginning and have never seen so much controversy. My favorites through the seasons have been Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, David Cook and should have been Chris Daughtry.
This year my favorites were Matt and Adam from the beginning. I could never see what others saw in Danny or Kris. They are both okay, not have much room to talk as I cannot sing at all-but I can hear. I thought Matt was very good too just not confident enough to compete with the popularity of Danny and Kris. Adam by far is the most talented of any season and Carrie was for country music is just awesome. All of the others I can barely remember. Adam will not be one of those that will be forgotten. Over 200 posts today alone, so even the people that do not like him are making him more popular by continuing to talk about him.
We have gotten Adam this far, let’s take him all the way to the top. We all have to vote as much as possible next week for Adam.

Kris didn’t do anything, not to Danny and not to the fans. He sang his songs, he has a dream just like Danny. The fans voted, not Kris. You don’t like one of the performers, fine. Yes, the system is flawed, but as someone pointed out, it’s an equal system for all, flaws and all. Nothing you can do about it, so just deal with it, or forget about voting and move on. Very predictable. Of course we probably all knew from the outset that Adam will win. The night he got a standing ovation from Simon.. cant remember the song’s name.. but I was in tears it was so beautiful. Sorry to see Allison go but she will go places. She and Adam must do a few duets. The top 4 are all winners. Its VOTES that count… which is why Danny has been eliminated. Way to go Adam and Kris.

It is really tough…. we can’t really compare these two guys because they are completely different artists. Adam is definitely a rock star. Chris everything else but a rock star. If I go to live concerts, I would love to see Adam :-), but if I buy CD’s (just listening to music) it would have to be Kris. I could listen to his voice all day long. Adam’s music would be great for party’s, clubbing etc. Kris can use his voice in so many different ways….. Kris really surprised me on Tuesday night!! I have always been a Adam fan. Both of these songs are performed with a gentle and tender voice, proving that he can perform rock and ballads equally well.
I am in the music business and, whether you like Adam Lambert or not, he has an incredible vocal range coupled with great voice control.
The bottom line is that we have seen some great talent this year and no matter what the result is next week, there are a number of performers who will have a future in the business.
One final comment to all who talk about Adam Lambert and Broadway. Check your facts because he has never appeared on Broadway.
He performed the role of Fiyero in the Los Angeles Company’s production of Wicked and that was 4 years ago and he was one of two understudies for the role.

Toni #285 and Kathleen F #286 – you are both good judges of vocal talent. That is what should be paramount here and not the personal insults to both artistes and contributors to this site.
Singing live is nerve racking enough as it is without having to perform in front of 4 judges who are likely to rip you apart with some, very often, personal jibes.
The myth seems to be that none of the other performers have any experience before American Idol but, in fact, most of those who were selected for the final 13 do.
They don’t magically learn to play guitars and pianos or pick up the ability to write or help with arrangements of popular songs.
If you Google most of them you will find that they have been performing in some manner since an early age. Allison won $50,000 in a talent contest last year and if you go to U-Tube, you can see a vid of a recording she did. The only reason she was able to enter AI was because she does not have a current recording contract.

I am shocked at all of the arguing about Kris and Danny neither of them are very good and I frankly don’t know how they made it to the final 3. It is beyond me how Allison and Matt were voted off before these 2. This a no brainer, Adam had this won during the auditions. I knew it, Simon, Paula, Kara, Randy and most everyone else knew it. Danny and Kris are okay but nothing spectacular. Adam on the other hand has done well every week, except when he sang Ring of Fire, I did not love that at all. I would have loved to see Matt go further but I guess people just didn’t see his talent. I hope he makes it in the business I will be 1st in line to buy anything he sings. He seemed to be a very sweet and talented guy. So Go Adam I have a lunch bet riding on you winning! I made this bet during the 1st week.

I’m happy to say that I am glad Danny is gone. The judges believed in him earlier on, even to predict an entrance to the finale and I feel a lot of Americans naively believed in that prediction. The judges never really gave Allison a fair deal. I am very happy the judges were wrong and Americans, after the unfortunate exit of Allison, voted in strength for these guys…Adam and Kris! Fricken awesome. Im looking forward to the finale now. Good Luck to both…but I hope its Adam, the American Idol 2009 Winner! And I’ll still be happy if its Kris. And I hope to hear Allison one more time on the Idol stage. VOTE ADAM people!!!

WOW! America really got it wrong! I guess it’s all those little teeny boppers voting for Kris, because they consider him the “cute guy”. Yes Kris is talented but not that talented and really not that unique either, kinda boring, he looks like he has a difficult time singing and seems like it’s strained at times. And then his little side mouth thing he does, just looks friggin weird. Danny is a very talented guy, his range is better (god this guy can sing!)and the raspiness in his voice is quite sexy actually. I never thought him self-centered or cold or whatever people are saying about him. What the hell are people talking about????? He seemed very sweet, kind and humble. Very happy to be there…come on people! This guy just lost his wife. As far as Adam goes….well, okay he is unique and yes he can sing, he’s defintely talented….but God he can be so over the top that it gets to be a little too much. And he keeps doing it over and over again it’s like okay already… I really don’t like it when he starts to shrill in his high voice and it almost sounds like he’s screaming rather than singing. Really, I don’t know who should win but I do think that it should not have come down to Kris and Adam in the end. I would have liked to see the final two between Danny and Alison. i agree with liza, paula killed dannys chances! as for adam, i thought his rendition of one was absolutely miserable i had to go listen to bono’s version immediately to remind me how good of a song it is. adam is SO over the top i cant deal with it… it get painful to watch. danny was a great guy and a great singer, its a shame hes gone. ill vote for kris hes not the best contestant that this year had but adam definitely isn’t either… oh well.

I heard that AT&T closed a line on Danny and we could not get through on the others. One line was always busy and the other one when you called in it seemed like it was going to go through but it went dead. Danny is the best and the judges just want Adam and Kris.I will never watch Idol again because it is all fixed.
Hi LisaLo and Phyllis G – I was happy to see that LIsaLo responded positively to my #228 – it seems as if not too many people can see past all the fluff and look at the TALENT. I can’t wait to hear ADAM on my car radio or CD… I do hope he brings more “rock” into the world – but no matter, i love his voice- so pure, and I love the emotion he puts into everything he does, I just can’t get enough!!! and I know that will change – he is already a superstar – called this by the judges, the mentors, fans, other musicians, and the critics in the music industry. They all can’t be wrong.

America got it wrong. Kris is a good singer but not as origional as everyone thinks. His performance of Heartless was a copy cat of a girl named Mia off of Taking the Stage, a show on MTV. She sang Heartless acoustically pretty much the same version Kris did. So Danny should’ve been in the finally with Adam.

What a huge mistake America made AGAIN! Kris is at most average he reminds me of John Denver without the glasses but just as boring. I am just sick and cannot believe what I saw last night.
