Just as I expected and voted, Allison has been eliminated tonight. The Top 3 on Idol this year will be Danny, Kris, and Adam.

I am glad that this website is here so I can find out early who gets kicked off. I hate waiting to watch the show to know if my person is going home or not. Too bad for Allison, I thought she was way better than Danny. I liked him early in the season but as time went on, he got worse. Last night, his performance was horrible. I am so surprised he is staying but not that much. It is because of the Sad story behind him. Too many people feel bad for him.
i agree allison has a powerful voice and it shows in the rock genre. unfortunately, she didn’t do so well in other genres. kris is the opposite. the rock genre is not is strength, but he make do with his musicality.
in any case, they all deserve to be in the top 3, but unfortunately, someone has to go.
I didn’t think that Kris was that bad, He was not at the top of his game. He has done better but I do believe that Danny should have gone home. he was the bottom this week.

After Danny’s awful performance last night, there is no way he should have stayed tonight. Allison performances were much better than Danny’s last night. I can’t understand who in the h… is voting for a guy who has shown so much arrogance and creepiness this year. To me, he is a joke now. I can’t take much more of him. Danny had to laugh at what happened last night re: the awful screech at the end of the song because everyone else in the world was making fun of it. What else could he do? There is no way I’m believing his humble act lately. I’m sure he finally realized he had to humble up a bit, or he could lose the pity vote!

To win American Idol, all you have to do is announce that you are a Christian (and not gay), lost dear ones, laugh off your own horrible performance (and hoping it will be forgiven), have fun with food (to show the world that you have forgotten dear ones you lost), get cocky, sing like Hicks, and Dumbo will be rooting for you.
I am sorry to see Allison go; I think she and Adam were the top two outstanding vocalists. I think Allison will do well in pursuit of a music career, with or without the “Idol winner” status. Next to Allison and Adam, Kris and Danny sound like pretenders!
Yes, I agree that Danny had a bad night. However, he has been one of the most consistent singers in this competition and I believe that he has the best vocal ability, regardless of Adam’s ridiculous vocal range. One bad performance is not the reason to vote him off of the show. Rock genre is Adam’s area of expertise and it kind of seems like American idol is trying to keep their ratings up and maintain the show as a popularity contest rather than a singing contest. Kris should have been the one eliminated tonight because of weaker vocals throughtout the entire competition.

I am glad to say that I for one voted for Danny. While ALison’s performance was very good last night Danny has been very consistent in showing his talent and deserves to be in the finale.
I thought it was a load of cr*p when the “judges” basically tried to get the voters to go for their choses last night. Main reason I voted for Danny. And I was very offended with that girl said Adam was a rock-god. There is only one God and we should not idolize a person to this extreme. And to equate him with the true rockers? NO WAY! Thank goodness for this site–my power went out in last five minutes of the show! Kris should have gone home tonight–his voice is pleasant but unexceptional. It may be best that Allison had to go home because she is really too young to sing the songs best suited to her voice. In a few years she will be unstoppable! Danny will make a great band singer–I could see him fronting a band like Chicago. Adam can do anything! His problem is one of identity as a performer. He does everything so well that it seems too slick–a little bit like acting instead of “being”. Think about Sting’s performance–do you think he could have made it through Broadway night, or Country Western night? But blame Adam for being too good at everything? That doesn’t seem right, either. He is the most remarkable talent this season, and by all that really matters he should win. But I’d be more likely to buy an album by Danny or Kris–I like something a little easier on the ears!
I’m with my peeps. I think it is very immature and shows your ignorance to bash Christians and Danny’s loss because the outcome wasn’t in your favor. Yes, you did hear of Danny’s loss at his tryouts, but you haven’t heard of it since. He hasn’t used it as a way to progress in this show. I think Allison is really talented and I was really sad to see her go. She has a lot more vocal ability and stage presence than Kris does. I think the only one with the pipes to slug it out with Adam in the end is Danny Gokey. Kris doesn’t have the vocal range, and Allison didn’t have the confidence. Gokey is the only worthy opponent.
Been keeping up with this show all the way from Sri Lanka! Pity the rest of the world cant vote on ‘Idol’ cos clearly the voters who could, cant tell the difference between banshee screams and solid vocals. Allison eliminated???
Kris and Danny were both awful on rock night – they were nothing special. But Allison was amazing and has consistenly been so. Was she sent home, cos she may have proved a threat to Adam for the top slot? No. America cant have that can they! Adam is a born star and destined to win, but with Allison in the competition it would have had enough spice to be watchable. Now, it’s a walkover. The shows to follow would be nothing but a farce.

I felt sorry for Allison but, for a just turned 17-year old, she handled it with class and went out with a great performance.
Someone is going to take this young lady under their wings and she will be a star of the future just like Daughtry.
He was also sent home at the same stage (too early) in season 5 and has become the 3rd top artist from AI behind Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
Adam, love him or hate him (that seems to be the two extremes on here) will be successful. I doubt if we will hear much of Kris and Danny 1-2 years from now.
It is too bad AI went home. She was one of the most natural talents to have graced the show. I think she and Adam would make a great team and go Platinum faster than CU did.

Alison should have been in the top 3, but has a great career ahead of her. Adam & Danny now deserve to compete for the title & it’s a shame that Kris’ pretty boy title has been a huge focus. Our family was sad to see Allison go. As for the Danny/Christian comments, We love Adam and Chris as well. Allison and Adam belonged on stage together. They just fit.

miss mercury I´m 100% with you. The thing is that this ultra-religious zealots don´t have any good point against Adam as an artist.
Sad to see Allison go–she’s a cute girl and loaded with talent. But a “power voice” has its limits, and she needs to learn to vary her style. This will come with time and training, I’m sure. She and Adam were great in “Slow Train.”
For those ranting about how Kris is getting through on his looks alone. . .this is no more valid than to say that Adam is getting through on his looks alone. After all, Adam’s fans rave about his gorgeousness and sexiness.
All three of these men are talented singers with outstanding voices–just very different and equally valid styles.
I’m glad Danny did not get eliminated for one dreadful performance. He was amazing on Rat Pack week, since that genre is much more his style. I’m hoping all three contestants will shine this next week when they are able to perform songs that highlight their skills.
Sad to see all the bashing here. Takes some of the fun out of following the show. Seems like people take the success or elimination of their favorite contestant as personal validation or insult, which is weird. But then, I suppose that is the nature of “idolatry”. . .

Everyone keeps saying that this is a singing competition. But it was beginning to sound like a screaming competition. A little bit is okay to show range, but when someone screams the whole song——-that is not singing. I am glad at least one of the screamers is gone.

American Idol is a singing competition and the two weakest performances of the Top 4 were those by Kris and Danny.
If you look back at the Top 3 in the previous 7 seasons, you can see that most of them have not gone on to do much and I suspect it will be that way with Danny and Kris.
If your pissed off that allison went home last night just remember that it was dannys fault so next week vote only for adam:)

Kris is the most talented among them all.
Adam is a rocker that does not play any instruments at all. Famous rocker plays musical instrument. Kris is a vocal pop singer that has looks, charisma, young guy that plays keyboard and guitar. That’s package. He gonna sell records after the AI. Adam is a good singer but more on entertainment; you need visual to appreciate him in theater or concert but I doubt as recording artist you might not pay attention to it. Pop music is more appealing to all ages. Rock is seasonal to play but Pop music is always pleasing.
kris is great behind an instrument…but u cant argue on the fact that adam is a great performer…but i hope kris makes to the top..atleast above danny..
despite of who actually wins in the end..i think at this point each n every one of us have made u p our mind about our american idol…we r celebrating already on the victory of who ever we are supporting..for me its kris..so even if he doesnt make to the top..i’d believe he is the american idol for me

This is a world-wide forum and people may discuss it in whatever language they wish. English is not the most widely used language in the world. If you can’t read it( the other language on the page,) maybe you should learn it. Most Eastern languages were being used long before English was invented. English isn’t even the national language of the US. The percentage of Spanish speaking Americans is growing at a much larger rate.
!On a side note to the religious fanatics…) Christianity is a relatively new religion, so don’t be alarmed if some Hindu’s or Buddhists (whose faith and beliefs are centuries older) come and bother you at your house to “witness” to you! LOL. They would only be trying to “save you.”
Just a comment: English is the most commonly spoken language in the world thanks largely to British imperialism. The British Empire required English to be spoken and is, to this day, either a legal second language or it is required curriculum in schools from a very young age in most countries, save a few 3rd world. I have traveled the world and speak a little of 6 languages, but wherever I go, speaking English is still preferred as the general method of communication.

There is something special about this guy and its so sad that so many people do’nt realise it. YL, I agree. I’ve been reading your posts. Even it is not your native language, you are good in writing, and I am not sure if you have the accent. Anyway, the most important thing you convey the message. From where are you by the way?
1. There is nothing wrong with being religious and wanting to express that and pass on the good news, but to use it as a tool to put others down is not what Jesus would do. You are not the one that condemns. That is tresspassing on God’s domain. Adam isn’t god, he just sings like one.
2. Allison was awesome and she will be missed. That said, I do think that the Kris and Danny can sing and deserve to be there. Those who say they are bland do not obviously speak for everyone. Despite Danny’s last note, and Kris’ insistence on sticking to one style, I would say that both of them deserve to be there. Adam, however, is different and allows idol to address a different genre, a different style, and different possibilities. I could totally see him as a rock singer merging Nine Inch Nails creativity, Elvis appeal, and his own personal brand/talent in order to create a hit. That is an American Idol, that is a hit, and that is a rock star. Who cares about his sexuality? Its none of our business anyway.
And ps about those who call Adam out for being too broadway, Broadway singers are amazing and all deserve records. Tey can outsing most “stars” who make records. Even the Hills stars do that. I would be flattered to be called Broadway material.
