I realize that it can be difficult for those who are not gifted in singing to appreciate true talent in others when they hear it. I have been a professional singer and vocal coach for several years, and in my opinion, Adam Lambert is a rare talent. Someone possessing such a gift does not come along very often. I have seen that his lifestyle has cost him populatity with some, which was enough to cost him the win last season, but no matter the life style, talent is talent, and after all, it is a singing competition.

I absolutely do not agree concerning Adam Lambert. How in the world can you think that silly, nilly is a great singer. The kid screams and acts silly and you think that being silly is talent? WHAT? He’s so yesterday unless you’re still in high school.

Ok all you critics that would rather watch paint dry than Idols, pick up your remote and watch CNN or something else. Truth of the matter is Idols works & has produced many stars which would not have been recognized should there not have been Idols & Simon. If you guys cannot sing better than the contestants shut your pie hole, on a positive note I would like to say that I really like Crystal – Unique – she reminds me a bit of Tracy Chapman.

i don’t really think tim is worse than anyone else. none of them are very good this year. i think all (now 20) are decent singers, but not star material. i think the judges made a mistake on maybe not passing contestants that should’ve been passed and instead passing the wrong ones.
and kara needs to be careful on her obvious crush on casey…she’s going to end up getting herself in trouble.
on the adam lambert comments…get over it!!!! yes, he’s been the best so far and thanks to AI, he’ll have an outstanding career. AI helps you get on with your career. i’m sure he’s very glad to no longer be on the show. for all who love him, get over it and be happy for him.

I can’t believe Tyler Grady attempted to sing that song again after he ruined it the first time. I’m glad he’s gone and I never want to hear the song “American Woman” again. At least they were good enough to cut him short last night.

This is the first AI I watch and the question is: where is the talent? The two shows were quite boring, wrong song choices, and really very bad singers.
