  1. Tyanna – Got one performed by Tina Turner…. I hope she blows everyone
away. I think she really rocks a song that has a beat & some fun lyrics as well. When Tyanna cuts loose, no one is better. Maybe she needs to start running to get those endorphins going so she’s relaxed on stage. A good long hike, bike, run or walk would do. ANYthing Tyanna c’mon girl, it’s in your genes!!!! I know you can do it….

I predict she’ll be singing live at the White House before Obama’s term
is up whether she wins this or not.

Bet she’s saving Aretha’s “Chain of Fools” & “Respect” for the final knockout round weeks when it’s down to 3 or 2. I ALSO believe she knows what songs she can rock, like she did singing “Tightrope” that was
genius. Lord I can’t wait to play out an entire album of hers & put it on auto replay. We can’t forget when most everyone else was WISHING to get great comments from all 3 judges 2 weeks in a row, Tyanna only had 2 performances where she wasn’t on her game. That’s it. 2.

I don’t think anyone else has had as many good performances in a row.

Don’t tell a natural to hold something back, I think when they told her to hold back her vibrato, that messed her up. Maybe nerves hit her, I dunno’….. When no one really told her what to do, she shined brightest. She has the best natural talent in this bunch. When you hear that tone, you can close your eyes & go someplace, sad & meaningful, fun, rocking, funky, daring or just plain inspirational. She said she wants to touch people with her music, oh she does & will continue to do so I suspect for the rest of her life.

Jax – Her tone just sounds bizarre to me. Like she’s trying to make a child or a baby voice, then sings with that tone. Is she intentionally trying to sound like that? I think of a leprechaun singing when I’m in the kitchen & hear her on the TV. It’s starting to really get on my nerves now.

I still for the life of me can’t figure out what she did when she was doing something to the guitarist’s chest at the end of bang bang WTbleep? (someone tell me please)

Seems she walked in with the plan to win with some X entourage …. acting like she’s always been told she’s great & puts on an act waiting for everyone to keep telling her this – which seems to show that shock on her face when her showing off, those annoying “intentional pauses” & overly sexual displays don’t get the reactions she was hoping for. Thank goodness she stopped with that pause stuff, made it seem so arrogant. Someone wrote a few weeks ago that Jax was that same reminder in Hunger Games 1 when Haymitch said arrogance is a big problem. I hope I’m wrong but her performances appear to be like what Keith described saying some people say “look what I can do.” Seems she pulls out stops that have nothing to do with singing or vocals that are a turn off to watch. I hope she goes home soon so she can start making an album, hopefully someone will give her songs suited to what works for her limitations. I don’t think either songs suit her. She has a very limited range but if she sticks inside those limits should do very well for herself after going home. Which is great, I’m sure she’s a sweet person.

Rayvon – Needed to sing Prince & dance a jig with it….that would have been SO FUN to watch in some tight crazy purple getup….

then look up other artists with great Falsetto. Justin’s “Cry Me A River” would have given him a chance to pull out of this funk he’s in. He’s just not singing songs best suited to show of his beautiful range. He has an amazing recording voice. He needs to show some attitude & knock off smiling when it doesn’t match the story of the song….. so we know he connects with the lyrics during the delivery of songs. Just smile AFTER you sing Rayvon. I read someone suggested Jon Secada for him. Oh yes.

I hope he does well this week. The Doobie Bro’s song might be good but not Willie Nelson. Who had that idea? Well should be interesting to see… you never know.

Clark – I would like to hear him try some John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne “Beg Steal or Borrow” & Jack Johnson. He should do better with the Stevie song but still might not be able to out shine Tyanna. Although he would sway me for a week if I heard “aint’ no sunshine” from him. Bet he could really do well with that one. Then again maybe Rayvon needs that one, he could possibly do more with it. I like Clark, but don’t love him.

Joey – She might do well singing Macy Gray. Seems she’s sinking back in to a slump again. Out of the 2 songs she was given, the funny Valentine should be the better one for her. I know this will sound weird but I think she could pull off singing Pink Floyd. Comfortably Numb would possibly be amazing if she would stop sounding like some words have some bizarre accennt like “kind of” singing “Koynd of.” If you aren ‘t British, well maybe leave the accent stuff out. It’s risky. But doesn’t that Floyd song have a tinge of an accent anyway? Also “Vincent” by Don McLean. “Starry starry night….. ”

Nick & Quentin – Time to go.

  2. Not a promising set list IMO. Prince Puffylips [Clark] needs to display a little showmanship. The JA song is too big for Joey. Proud Mary is overdone. It looks like a snooze and a disaster.

    • If Nick was going to do a Billy Joel song, he should have gone with “You May Be Right”. JMO

  3. joey cook HAS GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she’s taking on gracie slick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? surely she jests!!!! and clark doing stevie wonder is like pat boone doing fats domino. this is sure to be one heck of a comedy show

    • ITA I plan to use the time to clean the fridge while I just listen to the show. Joey should be doing something by Joni Mitchell. I can’t get past the notion that every time I see Clark’s unhappy baby face, I want to look for his pacifier.

  4. They could have picked some more memorable songs. But this my help in non-comparison terms. I don’t see any standing O’s in this lot! This is where the themes go “ALL” wrong!
