American Idol Stars Take ALS Ice Bucket Challenge [VIDEOS]
Seems like everyone is getting into the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge these days! This summer’s hottest video sensation features celebrities and normal folks alike dumping buckets of ice water over their heads to raise awareness and funds for the fight against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Naturally, some of our favorite American Idol alums had to get in on the act!
American Idol judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. were quick to jump on board, freezing themselves silly with ice over their heads. Harry actually did his own special modified version of the challenge by sticking his head into a hotel ice machine and letting the ice pelt him in the forehead.
Former American Idol judge Simon Cowell also accepted the ALS ice bucket challenge, going shirtless as girlfriend and baby momma Lauren Silverman dumped the cold stuff all over him.
Former American Idol winners Phillip Phillips and Taylor Hicks also took the plunge, with Taylor icing himself and jumping around like a silly fool afterwards making awesome faces.
One of our favorites was former American Idol runner-up and current Queen front-man Adam Lambert dousing himself after being nominated for the challenge by Glee star Chris Colfer and several other buddies. The sound Adam makes after being soaked is priceless, as is his face.

Many other American Idol stars have also signed on for the ALS Ice Bucket challenge and you can find their videos posted all over YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. Some of the others who have stepped up to raise awareness for ALS include James Durbin, Skylair Lane, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, and Jordin Sparks.
