As we reported earlier, “American Idol” alum David Archuleta has landed a role in a Philippines TV show. The Idol runner-up posted a video blog about the upcoming gig and the excitement surrounding it.

He talks about taking acting lessons in Los Angeles and how the new experience has been both fun and a little tough on the nerves. He was all smiles though. David added that the show is actually a mini-series.  He leaves for the Philippines in the next couple days, he says.
