Update: The two contestants will sing 3 songs each with Crystal getting the pimp spot since she won the coin toss. They will sing a winner’s song, contestant choice and producer’s pick.
Update 2: Will Young will perform the boot song “Leave Right Now” tonight during the performance show.
This is it, the final night for American Idol performances as Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox face each other for the last time this season. Tonight will be Part 1 of the Season Finale after a long four-month journey that took us from the goofy auditions to Hollywood and then down to this week.
After all this, did your favorite make it? A showdown between Crystal and Lee didn’t surprise me at all. Despite Simon’s call for a woman to win the show this year I called it for Lee months ago. Not to say one is more deserving than the other, but comparing the past few seasons’ winner you’ll see a trend that more closely leans towards Lee than Crystal. Could that streak be broken this week? We’re going to find out very soon!
