American Idol 13 Predictions: Who Will Make the Top 20?

This week, the American Idol 2014 Top 30 contestants will be slashed down to just 13 remaining finalists. The American Idol judges will cut the first 10 singers before they even have a chance to sing for the voters. Then the viewers will select five girls and five girls to move on, with the judges choosing three more wildcards to round out the Top 13.

On Tuesday, we’ll find out whether Ben Briley or Neco Starr made the Top 15 guys, thanks to votes from the viewers. Then the American Idol Top 30 contestants will be moving on to former judge Randy Jackson‘s boot camp. This phase of the competition replaces the old Vegas Week semifinals rounds.

During Randy’s boot camp, the American Idol judges will be evaluating the singers to determine which 10 guys and 10 girls they think really deserve the chance to sing for the voters. The Top 10 ladies will sing live on Tuesday night, followed by the Top 10 men on Wednesday night. The results of the vote and the judges’ wildcard picks will be announced on Thursday.

Which American Idol 2014 contestants will make it to the Top 20? Well, we’ve made our predictions below about who will be sent home by the judges before the live competition begins.

Our American Idol predictions for which contestants won’t make the Top 20:

Guys: Ethan Harris, Briston Maroney, Jay Zidor, George Lovett, Jordan Brisbane

Girls: Kristen O’Connor, Andrina Brogden, Jillian Jensen, Bria Anai Johnson, Emily Piriz

So that would leave us with an American Idol Top 20 of:

Harris, Dexter Roberts, MK Nobilette, Jena Ascuitto, Jessica Meuse, Kenzie Hall, Majesty York, Malaya Watson, Malcolm Allen, Marrialle Sellars, Maurice Townsend, Sam Woolf, Spencer Lloyd and either Ben Briley or Neco Starr (we think it will be Ben).
