Kelly Clarkson is the original American Idol winner and at the finale on Thursday night, she showed exactly why we’ll always think of her as the best one as well! Sadly, Kelly couldn’t actually be part of the live show because she’s extremely pregnant, but she was able to pre-tape an emotional medley of songs to pay tribute to the show that launched her career.
We couldn’t love Kelly Clarkson more, but this performance for the American Idol finale made us wish we could! Her medley included such hit songs as “Miss Independent,” “Since U Been Gone,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” and “Breakaway.” To top it all off, Kelly took as back to that first season finale where she choked back happy tears during her coronation song with an a capella version of “A Moment Like This.”
