American Idol Winner Scotty McCreery Robbery 911 Call Released [AUDIO]

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery was robbed at gunpoint on Monday morning at a friend’s apartment. The country singer was lucky enough to escape unhurt, but from the 911 call just released, it sounds like the incident was a very frightening experience.

American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery was visiting at a friend’s place on Monday when three armed men broke in, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. The robbers reportedly demanded cash and wallets from everyone in the apartment and made off with electronics as well.

In the Scotty McCreery 911 call just released, one of the victims stated that the robbers held guns to their heads while they were face down on the floor. We can’t even imagine how incredibly scary that must have been for Scotty and his friends. You can listen to the call below. (We assume the voices have been distorted to protect the identities of those on the call, or else it’s just a very bad recording.)

In the 911 call, the victim said the robbers forced everyone onto the floor and “took everything we have” at gun point. “They were like ‘Get down. Get on the floor and give us everything you got,'” said the caller.

The victim also said the thieves told them not to get off the floor until after they had counted down from 100 after they left. Some neighbors reportedly thought all the noise and yelling was just a bunch of college students partying, according to ABCLocal.
