Singer-songwriter Jenna Renae may seem like a familiar face if you happened to watch season 10 of America’s Got Talent. Jenna made it on to the show, but was sadly eliminated during the Judges Cuts round before the quarterfinals. Now she’s ready to try her luck on American Idol 2016, and hopes this time she’ll make it through to become one of the finalists.

Jenna Renae has been since she was little, and began writing her own original music as a teenager, according to her website. She was discovered by John Mandeville, a producer with Artist Map, and released a debut album in 2011 titled Wishing. The album is available through iTunes. Since releasing her CD, Jenna has worked hard to establish herself as a musician, playing gigs around Rochester, NY and her new home in Charlotte, NC.

On her Instagram page, Jenna Renae says she is “married to the love of her life” and “living with my heart and eyes wide open.” She says that is was actually her first love that inspired her to write her own music, and she’s been writing ever since. “I’d been singing ever since I could talk,” Jenna says on her website bio, “but it was that kind of overwhelming love that inspired me to put the pen to the page.” We hope we might here some of her original tunes on American Idol 2016, along with her beautiful piano playing.
