This week on American Idol 2012 the remaining finalists will be taking on British songs, but they won’t be receiving any guidance from a Brit. Instead they’ll be hearing from a member of an iconic American band.
Entertainment Weekly (via MJ’s) has learned the Top 5 singers sat down with Jimmy Iovine and Steven Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist from the E Street Band, though you might also recognize him as Silvio Dante from The Sopranos.
Per the typical timeline each week on American Idol, the singers likely met with Van Zandt late last week to practice what they’ll be singing during Wednesday’s live performance show.
