American Idol 2014 finalist Sam Woolf is back again this week to prove he still belongs in the competition. Some fans of the show were not happy to see the American Idol judges “waste” their save on Sam, but his ‘Woolf Pack’ is madly happy he will get another chance tonight.
Harry Connick Jr. told Synergistic Productions in a post-show interview that he believes Sam Woolf is “on the right track” and that’s one of the reasons the American Idol judges used the save. “He’s starting to make decisions that are helping him on stage. He’s a very, very young performer but we’ve seen a lot of progress.”
“We think he’s good for the competition,” Harry continued. “We think he’s talented. Listen, there’s a lot of stuff that wen’t into that half a minute or minute of decision making. Some of the stuff the audience is privy too, some of the stuff is things we’ve been talking about over the last month. We think he deserves at least one more week.”
