From the first note out of Stephany Negrete‘s mouth during her American Idol 2016 audition, the judges looked like deer caught in the headlights of her powerful voice. Seriously, Keith Urban had his mouth hanging open just a bit, and Jennifer Lopez was looking rather stunned! Even Harry Connick Jr. appeared to be in disbelief at what he was hearing. Is Stephany Negrete the total package the American Idol judges are looking for?
We happen to know this isn’t Stephany’s first go around on a reality TV singing competition. No, she wasn’t on The Voice or America’s Got Talent USA. Instead, she was a finalist on the Spanish language equivilent to America’s Got Talent, titled Tengo Talente, Mucho Talente (I Have Talent, Much Talent). Stephany came very close to winning that show, and she could prove a very strong threat on American Idol 2016 as well. Is she the girl to beat? We’ll just have to wait and see!
