This is the final week of performances before the big showdown on American Idol 2009! Adam, Kris, and Danny will be at the mercy of the judges for half their Tuesday night performances with their own choices rounding out the other half. A bad song choice could make all the difference when it comes to the results.

We are nearing the home stretch, and it’s ADAM all the way. After last weeks fiasco, where Allison was voted off. We again see what happens when we don’t vote. Danny Gokey, by far had the worst performance, his screach was a cross between a cat fight and a horror flick. But I think what bothered me most was his arrogance. Have you noticed, He always applauds himself. To add insult to injury, He said the night of the result show, that his own performance was so bad his aunt muted it, and that when he watched himself it was so bad, he couldn’t stop laughing, excuse me laughing? What is humorous about a bad performance? Allison was kicked off, someonewho was serious about her singing, so that this pompous man could continue to laugh. As the saying goes he who laughs loudest laughs last, and that is what Danny GOKEY deserves this week, LAST… ALLISON and ADAM fans need to UNITE and VOTE ADAM, Danny GOKEY deserves to GO HOME Kris is at least humble, and in my opinion deserves second place. GO HOME GOKEY….BUT REMEMBEER PEOPLE WE NEED TO VOTE AND VOTE AND VOTE, WE CANNOT LEAVE ANYTHING TO CHANCE. ADAM DESERVES TO WIN AND WE CANNOT LET HIM DOWN. Ok, I just read the most idiotic post I’ve ever read, while I agree everyone has a right to their choice, However to make a blanket statement, about cultural values for our children? And exactly what is he referring to? This is an entertainment competition, It has nothing to do with cultural values.
Danny is clean and neat? Give me a break. Number 1. I will not teach my children predjudice and bigotry, My children will love their fellow human beings, regardless of their race, or sexual preferences. Number 2. Season 5 was a total blunder when TH won instead of Daughtry. It would have been better if that McPhee girl would have won coz it would have cushioned the boot on Daughtry.
But then I can’t vote where I come from (IF ONLY) thus, there isn’t much I can do but make posts here without the intention of convincing anyone.
I’m just rooting for ADAM because I have never witnessed so much talent wrapped up in just one man…

I watched his interview @ FOXwith his mother and I am truly touched that a man who has been judged as “MORALLY INDECENT” could look his mother in the eye and say ILOVEYOU with the tightest hug. Amidst the eyelines and the painted nails is a sweet little boy who I think is just misunderstood…
I just hope it was not a FACADE!

I want to put something straight here. Danny’s scream at the end of Dream On was right and appropriate. Because, you see, at the end of the original song Dream On, it is a scream and not a note. Danny was merely trying to do the song as it was intended. And I think he did it admirably – a scream where a scream was meant to be. Whereas, Adam screams in every song whether it was supposed to be that way or not. To me he is ruining a lot of good old songs with all those screams.
Danny and Kris seem to respect the original melodies and try to do them justice. I’m not sure Adam understands that at all. So, for me I’ll be voting for Danny Gokey.

American Idol is about choosing a talented singing artist that we can look up too. I agree that we need more positive role s for our children. So I don’t feel Stanley should be criticized for his beliefs. Yes we should love others no matter what their race, religion or whatever. But there is nothing wrong with wanting good role s for our children. One thing that really bothers me is the fact that people use the term Rock God etc. I feel that it is disrespectful to deity.

I say DANNY will win! Adam is a good singer but he sings the same every week. Danny picked a wrong song choice last week but this week I know he will rebound. To me Adam sounds like he is screaming every week.

Phyllis – in reference to your “WHO CARES”… plenty of people do. Not everyone is believes that being gay is ok, there are people who don’t approve of that lifestyle. There’s nothing wrong with that opinion either. We all need to be respectful of peoples opinions, just because we don’t all share the same beliefs or lifestyle preferences doesn’t mean that either of us is wrong.
NOW, as far as the compitition goes, my vote is for Kris. Danny is ok, I actually like him, but I think he’s gone as far as he can. Adam, not my preference either… I don’t care for his singing style. I just prefer good, clear, singing. All that outlandish, loud, occasionally screeching ’stuff’ is just not my cup of tea.
I think Kris has a broad range of appeal and is more marketable across the board. I love all his songs he’s done and really look forward to what he and the others will do tonight.

I posted on this website yesterday, but I don’t see it, so I’ll try again. I like the song picks for Adam and Kris, but there were others I would have preferred. I would like to hear Adam sing “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaac. That song fits him so well. He would kill with that song! I hadn’t heard of Danny’s song before, so I checked it out on YouTube. This guy has a raspy voice like Danny. I think that’s why Paula picked it. I just hope he dances like TTD does in the video so we can all get a good laugh!!
Anyone catch Danny’s awful performance of “Billie Jean” in Milwaukee. He butchered it! It sounded awful on the video. It sounded like he didn’t even know the words to the song. I actually liked Danny at the beginning of the season, but I can’t stand him now. He comes across as arrogant and seems phoney, especially regarding the grieving widower bit. For a grieving widower, he sure was all over little Allison in the cake fight. Adam and Kris seem so sincere and nice, not full of themselves like Danny seems to be.

My vote is for Danny, too. I’m worried that since it appears the judges have already picked who they want to win that the songs they select for the three contestants may not be totally fair. Would they choose songs they know the guys couldn’t sing well just to make another contestant seem better? I don’t know – I hope not.

Frank – what I mean is that there is nothing about Adam to “get”. He’s all frou-frou and nothing really genuine. He has to have makeup, fancy clothes, special lighting, weird hairdos, etc. to get attention. Kris and Danny don’t need that.

Marsha: If you dont like Adam’s style of dressing and make up, well no one is forcing you to like him. Rockers are really like Adam Lambert, they are really putting make up, rings, black nail polish, spiky hairs, leather jackets and pants, thats the ROCKERS trademark. and Adam is just showing his style….. He can dress impecabbly in a suit and still look best in them.
But AI is a singing competition and all the get ups of the competitors has nothing to do with their performances.

Everytime i read nasty comments about Adam Lambert coming from Gokey fans, i feel so bad. These people are typical Gokey fans, so conservative, espousing christian beliefs, neat and clean? well, in this IT age, being neat and clean looking wont get you to the TOP hahahahahaha…….
Fans wont take a look with your concerts if you dont have a distinct style too. Look at Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Axl Rose, Alice in Chains, Alice Cooper, Avril Lavigne and all the great rockers in this world, they dress up fancy hahahahahaha……….. and they sell millions of records too.

All I’m saying is that singers like Danny and Kris will still be nice to listen to in 20 years – when no one will remember Adam Lambert! You’re probably right that he will win AI. I just don’t think he’ll last or appeal to as wide an audience as the other two. There is a huge population out there that doesn’t like that type of rock – it seems that most of the ones who do watch AI and vote. Doesn’t mean that Adam is all that! My two cents.

Great Idols this year! all possessing their own unique qualities. I must say Gokey is too reminiscent of Taylor Hicks and we all know how that turned out. Adam Lambert although talented, a little over the top and am I really gonna want to listen to the yelling when I’m driving in my car. Maybe 20years ago when I was making out in an el camino listening to Axel Rose. Kris Allen is Awesome!!! He is definitely the most current artist and has turned each song into his own! Fantastic version of Kayne’s Heartless!!! Go Kris!!!

I watched the show tonight and really enjoyed every performance. I voted for Danny. I want the final showdown to be between Danny and Adam. I like Kris and hope he gets a great record deal, but I think it will come down to Danny and Adam. And, although I LOVE Danny and am praying that he wins, my daughters think Adam will prove victorious, and they are usually right on their AI picks. Adam and Danny are both seriously talented and will both go far in the biz. This has been the best season of AI ever!

I REALLY THINK GOKEY DESTROYED EVEN AN EASY AND LIKEABLE SONG AS “YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL”..THE JUDGES, AS ALWAYS… VERY BLAND WITH HIM.
KRIS WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER EVEN WITH A SONG LIKE “HEARTLESS”, NOT AN EASY ONE TO PERFORM.

All three guys were good last night.
I think it was obvious who all of the judges thought was the best. I’ve never heard Simon campaign for one contestant like he did last night. We’ll see if America listened.
I think between Chris W, Mary Anne, and I we got in about 1,000 votes for Adam and all 3 were voting for you Adam fans that couldn’t vote.

Think about those quick recaps they do at the end of the show. Both Kirs and Danny – especially Kris had two contrasting styles of singing. Adam had two screams. Of course what the viewers see is up to the editors of the program just like Danny’s bad note that will unfortunately live on forever (geez one bad note people, give it a rest!) I love Adam’s energy and he is surely an idol, but my vote is with KRIS ALL THE WAY!!!! Artist artist artist is what he is and i could listen to a CD of his for longer than I could one from Adam. Danny’s voice is wonderful but unfortunately his voice sounds tense and anxious lately, likely from trying to keep up with Adam. He was so relaxed and natural before that. Kris stays the course. He’s got my vote 100%. Go Kris!

How can anyone possibly compare Danny with the no talent abilities of Taylor Hicks!Not even in the same ballpark..do I need to remind you that Hicks was chosen by the fans over Chris that year.How could that have happened? That in itself is a joke and an outstanding reason why we should never leave things in the hands of the American public (well most of them anyway.)

I hope that Kris wins, myself I am getting tired of Adam, even though he has talent, he just annoys me with the same SCREAMING each week. An besides, with David Cook winning last season, one so-called ROCKER is enough. It is time for a TRUE PERFORMER to win. I do like KRIS, and hope he wins. Now, for Danny well he is playing the sympathy card just like David Cook did last year.

Nah, Danny is not playing the sympathy card. I haven’t heard anything more about Danny’s unfortunate loss since he was chosen from the auditions. I hear it more in these forums actually. Am I missing something? I find him to be quite compassionate, especially when he was safe and Allison was sent home. He actually demonstrated a sincere bitter sweetness to his victory with his hug to Allison. I think he’s adorable – just not a winner in this competition
sorry Danny… You’ve got talent but not to be an American Idol. He’s in a different league – something far broader than pop music I believe.

Who do all of you think will win?? It is going to very close! I personally think Adam will win. But Kris’s fan base in Conway, Arkansas is HUGE. Some of them are voting 200 times in an hour!One was even voting with a text message in each hand! Well we have a whole week to see. Bummer.
