Tonight On American Idol 2019: Meet Your Finalists Special

There’s no actual performance or results show for American Idol 2019 tonight, but it’s still on if you want your Monday night fix. ABC announced it will be airing a special “Meet Your Finalists” episode that promises some never-seen performances and footage of the American Idol finalists. Live performance and voting will return next Sunday as the Top 8 becomes the Top 6 (unless the judges use their one save). The theme next week is Queen and Adam Lambert will be the guest mentor.

From ABC:

On the heels of last night’s incredible performances and reveal of the remaining Idol contestants, ABC will air “American Idol: Meet Your Finalists,” a two-hour “American Idol” special episode. The special will take a deep dive into each finalist’s journey on “American Idol” thus far, highlighting new, never-before-seen songs, stories, performances and footage from “American Idol,” as well as revisiting favorite moments from this season. America will have a chance to get to know each finalist individually as they share their stories in hopes of capturing America’s heart and future vote on MONDAY, APRIL 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:00 p.m. PDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. Live performance shows and voting will resume with an all-new episode on SUNDAY, APRIL 28.

Following a nationwide search for talent, “American Idol”‘s crop of hopefuls continue to fight for their shot at superstardom. Helping to find the next singing sensation are music industry legends and all-star judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy® Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest hosts the beloved series and famed multimedia personality Bobby Bones acts as in-house mentor.

What did you think of Sunday night’s performances and results? Did America make the right choices for the American Idol 2019 Top 8? Should the judges have saved wither Uche or Dimitrius Graham?
