Is American Idol 2009 fixed? An insider to the sing-off reality show claims it is rigged with those in charge behind the curtains of American Idol having already decided who will be the Top 4 singers this season:
One of the hit show’s staffers is running around telling anyone who’ll listen that the team of producers and judges has already picked the final four contestants — despite the fact that 11 kids are still battling to be the latest pop star.
The female “AI” worker told a “group of people that the last four are going to be Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace,” said our insider. Asked if this was opinion or actual fact, the staffer vehemently retorted, “Those ARE the people,” saying it wasn’t mere speculation.
…the lass took it a step further, claiming that higher-ups at the hit Fox show were taking an issue with two of the top contenders.
“Adam Lambert and Lil Rounds are better singers and musicians than Gokey and Grace, but they’re too much like past winners and ‘A’ successes,” the woman said. “Adam’s too close in style and sound to Chris Daughtry, while Lil Rounds is a dead ringer for Fantasia. Even their background stories are similar!
“The producers really want it to be Danny or Alexis. They think they’re very commercially viable, have a good image and a great story.”
What do you think? I could easily believe the show is rigged. The producers, network, label, and all those involved stand to make a lot of money with the right winner. Could you imagine the financial impact if a singer like Sanjaya won the whole thing? Ka-boom! Lot of unhappy suits.
Then again, these four would be an easy pick for most as the final four this season.

By you folks posting this, it makes others feel like not voting for their favorite and that is how Daughrty got voted out too early his season.There is no truth to AI fixing this contest now or previously.

THERE ARE LOTS OF LIL ROUNDS..SHE IS NOT AN ORIGINAL. LAMBERT IS A DAVID COOK BETTER VERTION…I DONT THINK EITHER ONE SHOULD WIN….I PREFER ALLISON… SHE HAS SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST A GOOD VOICE…ANYWAY.. I LIKE MEGAN..SHE IS TRULY AN ORIGINAL!!!

I don’t vote anyway. I watch to enjoy it — totally. There are a lot of so-called-losers I’d buy albums from … so many of them deserve record deals and should get them. We really need entertainment with the economy the way it is.

I am sad to hear that. I really hope this isn’t true. I also hope that by writing this you don’t ruin the chances for people by getting people to not vote. I don’t know that I agree with the top 4 entirely, I agree with Adam and Alexis, but not entirely with Lil or Danny.

allison & Danny are the only ones who have true vocal abilities. This is a singing competion. No Megan singing off key , No Adam yelling, No Kris singing voice can’t decide what key he wants to be in and mentioning keys The judge Kara doesn’t know jack about jack. Matt sounded better in country,Anoop does have nice tone but song choices are going to kill him, Scotts abilities lie in piano,not voice should I go on?

Allison has the greatest natural talent and could go far as long as she doesn’t get anymore interviews that make her sound like a moron. The Soup said she reminds them of a chain smoking slot machine player…so true! I read that Alexis keeps telling people she is the next Idol…I don’t care for her smugness at all. Scott is a terrible singer…he is in for the pity party. Megan little twitching motions drives me up the wall as does her terrible voice. We can never remember Matt or the other cute white guy (not Danny)’s name…not a good sign if you have nothing unique that stands out. There are millions of black girls that sing better than Lil…although I do like her. My money is on Danny.

I REALLY LIKE KRIS, I THINK HE IS SO CUTE, SO TALENTED. THOUGHT HE ROCKED IT TONIGHT.
I LIKE ADAM A LOT BUT TONIGHT WAS A BIT OVER THE TOP.
I AGREE LIL ROUNDS IS TOO FANTASIA.
I THINK MATT IS VERY GOOD TOO. LOT’S OF TALENT THIS YEAR.
NO WAY DO I BELIEVE IT IS FIXED..

I haven’t watched their performances for country genre. But I truely hope that Danny will be the next American Idol cause he got it all, the vocal abilities, the charisma, and his control on the stage when he sings as if he is doing that for years. Go on Danny, I’ll cross my fingers for you.

That news is total crap and whoever believes it is simply nuts.
This year, Adam Lambert is a sure finalist. His act is unique, entertaining and original. He is the only figure amongst the finalist that makes me look forward to watching the next show.
His only chance of not winning the title is when the voting public would choose the wrong one for the fourth time.
In the past seven seasons, only four deserved their titles that’s why those four are still very much around. And the runners-up to the three wrong choices are still going strong.

I love Lil and I want her to be the next American Idol. There are not lots of Lil’s because God made everyone to be there own person and that’s who she is. There are similarities that people have but that doesn’t mean that it’s lots of them. She’s very talented and she’s a beautiful person.

i think lil & alexis will battle it out in the finals. they have the purest voices & can hit the highs & lows. if this show is honestly just about talent, one of them will be the winner.

I like Danny, Kris, Alexis, and Megan. Last night Kris & Megan hit it right on! Adam was dead wrong on his version! He was the worst all night! And Anoop – wow he hit the Mark last night as well.
but if Adam gets eliminated they will put him back in – that is the one the judges don’t want to go… just watch and see

Underdogs all the way : Kris, Matt, Anoop & Megan had shown us how it was done. Megan is gorgeous by the way and I have to say that Danny is just plainly arrogant. And the top 11 performances show that the underdogs are ruling the show. I just want these four to go far. I like Adam & Lil too.

Matt, Danny, Alexis and Megan, I’ll hate to see any of them go. Matt definately has soul. Not a big fan of Adam, he’s way over the top!!! I’m not sure if it’s been said but Megan is a wannabe Amy Winehouse, I don’t mind, she’s talented and one of my favs.

I have a feeling we are all being beclouded by the physical appearance of the contestants rather than what they have to offer.The real talents of the show are Allision, Adam, Matt, Anoop, the likes of Danny, Lil, Alexis are all wanna be like of others. Scott, Sarver are riding on admiration of audience.Kris is till finding his idenlity.All the same a good show for the recession despite the claim of fixing

Adam has got to go, he screeches every song he sings…. Scott shouldn’t be there period – he should be singing in a dinner club or on a cruise….I like Alexis – good voice and spunk, Danny has a nice soulful sound to his voice – Megan is too quirky for me, although she did look lovely last evening.

Well Adam is by far the most entertaining and the best show man, like his music or not. Simon wants to keep him in check so viewers dont stray thinking he has it in the bag. I would love to see Megan in the final 2, her voice is so unique and that little hip movement just drives me crazy. Not sure why she is not getting more love.

I think that Adam is not that great at all and is there for being different mostly. I do not believe that it is fixed although I do tend to think the judges, especially Simon do influence the votes with their comments. My top 4 at this time would be: Danny, Lil, Matt, and Allison. I love Anoop and Kris too but we will see. A lot of talent this year, that is for sure. It is fun to watch…

Meagan drives me crazy! I hope she goes home soon. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. I think Alexis is becoming arrogant due to all the attention she has received from the judges. She needs to tone it down. Adam has an astounding voice, but runs the risk of pissing off America by rearranging and cutting up classic songs. Danny is amazing and has the total package. Allison is also great, but needs to show her ability to sing different genre’s. Lil is good, but has done nothing to really stand out yet. Anoop is full of personality and showed everyone that he has the pipes as well. I hope he goes far in the competition. Kris who? Matt who? The blind guy (what’s his name)? They’re all running the risk of being forgettable and will likely leave soon if they don’t infuse their personality into the performance. Hopefully Meagan will be next to go.

I completely agree with Rebecca. Meagan is beautiful for sure and can sing somewhat but she is just plain weird! Alexis is becoming arrogant for sure. Adam better shape up & quit singing weird stuff or he’s going to ruin it for himself! I’m hoping for Danny cause he lives in my state and is a down home guy!

Adam is my favorite all around. Danny is next, then Allison. I don’t like Alexis, Megan or Scott’s voice. The rest are pretty good. Kris & Matt are stepping up their game. Megan moves too much like a washing machine…She is flaky and hate the tatoos. She’s beautiful and I could see her doing a hair or teeth commercial. Lil is too much like Fantasia. Anoop is getting very good but is not as popular. Someone needs to dress him.

i deffinatly hope the show isnt rigged, if people find out that it was, it will not be popular anymore. I think Danny should win hands down. Adam screeches and Lil is just like any other female african american, they can all sing. My top 2 are Danny and Alexis, but Danny just has the voice and the charm to make everyone smile when they watch him.

Hi there! I watch the show all the way from Samoa. Anyway, it was too bad Alexis had to go. Well, I’m betting on Danny. He’s got the whole package and everything. Besides I do not think it’s the story that made him go through. I think it all comes from his great singing and how he connects with people through his music and voice. Adam is BY FAR the BEST singer on this show. None of the other contestants can match his vocal range or the sheer power of his voice.
The sad truth is that the others aren’t even in his league. He is that goddamn good!

If Adam dosen’t win AI, then will agree that the show is rigged. Besides,I had a hard time getting thru last nite. The operator kept saying there was trouble with the telephone company and the call could not go thru.
Wheather or not some of the top ones are simsular to who has won last, shouldn’t have anything to do with who wins. I hope the insider claims are wrong.

I totally agree with Jake Truth. Adam is by far the BEST SINGER on the show. Does he remind anyone else of “ELVIS PRESLEY” (looks (beyond the nail polish) he is beautiful, talented & kind mannered). American could use a huge star like Adam. There has been one since the Beatles.

Kris Allen topped all of them in orginality, arrangements, creativity, and being a truly gifted artist.
Megan with her quirkiness, plus her talent could and should be snapped up for musical, TV, and or movie roles.

Sorry!!LESLIE Kris allen is a nice Christian young man! And I like him. But ADAM is the most talented performer and singer american Idol has ever had. His album at amazon.com pre~odering is beating out Madona, Pink, and about 2 or 3 others in an interview with Ophra!!Simon said ADAM will be know world wide. The proof is in the pudding so to speak. WE SHALL SEE WHO LASTS THE LONGEST KRIS, OR ADAM!! ADAM is definitely the most talented. He is already singing a song in the movie 2012!! What is Kris doing?
