After being bumped from its usual spot on Tuesday nights, American Idol season 8 will return tonight with a two hour episode featuring performances by the second round of 12 singers from Idol 2009′s Top 36. The show starts tonight at 8PM with the 1-hour results show on Thursday at 8PM.
