American Idol 2009 Top 5 Becomes Top 4 – Official List

If Adam had been eliminated I would not watch the rest of this season’s show. Adam is definitely the best and he is the one I will continue to vote for. He will get a record contract no matter what!

I am huge fan of Allison Iraheta She only girl in top 4. She will win next American Idol. My Eary Prediction is Adam Lambert will go home next Wednesday in my top 4 elimination result is Adam Lambert!!!!!!!!! Allison Iraheta will great in Rock and Roll next week. I think you are all crazy. Adam is a great singer but way to broadway. He is ARROGANT! Allison is a great singer as well. But none of those people compare to Danny!!!!

I was shocked last night but believe that the events may have been staged to hold our attention. Now I enjoy Adam and Allison and they will make albums I will purchase. Danny and Kris are good, but like so many other idols would fade away unless brought back to sing a song now and then. Some are doing great work and I”m happy for them.
I dont believe Adam is arrogant he is composed and there is a degree of anxiety you can see in his facial movement.( Yes I get paid or did get paid to observe the body language of others. Allison is beautiful and she had a great voice, and shouldnt be as polished with her responses when asked a question at age 17. Danny would make a great Gospel singer but he isnt what I consider an American Idol.
I’M 66 YEARS OLD AND WOULD PAY TOP $$ TO SIT UP FRONT IN AN ADAM LAMBERT CONCERT.i WILL BUY ALL OF ADAM LAMBERT’S AND ALLISONS ALBUMS. WE WILL ALL BE HANGING IN THERE TUESDAY AND VOTING FOR THE NEXT TWO HOURS OR UNTIL OUR FINGERS ARE NUMB.

Although all of the remaining contestants are talented, Adam is simply the best. He is creative, gifted and has the showmanship to carry his career for a long time. I don’t see these attributes in Allison or Kris. I love Danny but I see him doing more in the teaching side of music rather than performing. If Adam does not win Idol it will be as big as a travesty as when Chris lost a few years ago.

Although I am a big Adam fan…… My predicition is that Kris Allen will surprise us all!!!

Hello , I am 57 years old and live with professional musicians – ADAM LAMBERT is the BEST!!!!!! I totally agree with Barbara, anne and pj – I would pay (a lot) to see Adam on stage. I will buy any and all recordings – I love his voice. And I really believe he is charismatic and genuine. I do not agree at all that he is arrogant, I can’t figure out some of these comments. Look what Ayleen and aida said – they know talent.

I have a funny feeling that this will be the last season of Idol and the producers know it or they wouldn’t have pulled such a stupid stunt like they did last night.Lets be real,both Paula and Simmon are leaving the show,they know they will never match the caliber of talent they had this year so the ratings will plumet for sure and they just don’t care.As far as Adam being in the bottom three I think was a combination of three things,#1 AI drama stunt #2 people didn’t vote for Adam and voted for Allison (like myself) assuming Adam would be safe,#3 Adam had a lot of fans turn on him for all the wrong reasons.I read a lot of blogs where people said they would not vote for him any more cuz he is gay yet they were the biggest fans ever till they found out.How pathetic is that???

Last night was ridulous with Adam being in the bottom two. I don’t believe it for a minute. Someone is looking for ratings???? If Adam were to go I also wouldn’t watch AI again as I wait with bated breath each week just to see what he’s going to do. Love Adam and he’s been the winner from the first show.

I am a huge fan of Allison, I have been voting for her since the beginning. I believe it will be Adam and Allsion in the finale, at least it should it be? Could anyone honestly sit through an entire concert of Danny or Kris? Kris…maybe. Danny is waaaaaay to arrogant and i believe a bit conceeded. Adam being in the bottom 2 was simply because people did not vote for him. Many people have came out and said they did not vote, not did my two roomates, because they thought he would be safe. WRONG! I am not an Adam fan, and was happy to see him there, but you NEED to vote if you want your favorite to win, dont assume anything. Allison deserved to be in the top 2 position. Shes amazing!! I think Allison would do great next week in Rock ‘n’ Roll! I agree with every fan who votes for Allison. And I think that Kris would eliminated next week on Wed. I don’t have anything against Kris but so far, I think most people vote Adam Lambert just because he looks good (not that I think so). Listen to his voice when he hits a high note people! It all shrill! Kris is not bad at singing, Danny’s good for gospel (especially Jesus Take The Wheel), Adam’s not good in high notes, Allison is good at everything else and can rock! She’s the only girl left in the top 5, so place your votes on her people…or else!

Adam, you are a great performer, you have it all, talent, looks, a voice that can bring out so many emotions all at the same time, from “you rock baby” I feel alive, to a simple smile, some really sad emotions and even a frown every now and again…. that leaves everybody wondering…that is what music is all about… Danny, Kris you guys have great voices, I will buy all your CD’s – sure wish there could be 3 winners!!!

To everyone who seems so obsessed with categorizing Adam as “theatrical, and Broadway” therefore not American Idol material, what are you talking about? American Idol is about finding talent. Where that talent takes contestants is wide open. Jennifer Hudson was on Broadway AND won an Oscar remember? Many AI alums have ended up doing very well in Broadway performances, Fantasia, Dianna Digarmo, Ace, Taylor Hicks, Clay Aiken to name a few. I’m sorry to say this but I have felt that Danny seems very arrogant. He also seems somewhat immature and goofy. Allison is just so darn sweet, and cute, but sometimes her voice sounds as if she has been smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day–just too rough. Chris, has a good voice, but he does NOT have the range or performance abilities that Adam has. Adam is not arrogant, he is confident. Confidence will take you a lot further than somewhat who is still trying to figure themselves out. Who cares if Chris is “cute”. As Adam said, “it’s a singing contest. ” Adam does not scream, he holds amazingly high notes, and can still bring them down to a purr. I think too many Adam fans tried to manipulate the system last week by voting for who they wanted to compete with him in the finals i.e. Allison or Chris. Knock it off people. I am bummed that I have to work next Tuesday, and I don’t think my patients will want me to be distracted by trying to vote for American Idol. I voted 2 hours straight last week, come on you guys, let’s not let Adam down. No more funny business.

I will not watch American Idol if they will eliminate Adam Lambert. iT is just too frustrating, i almost had a heart attack when i saw him at the bottom 3, i couldnt believe he belonged to that group. i also didnt like matt the elimination of matt giraud. i would wish danny gokey had been eliminated instead of matt giraud. gokey is too arrogant and self conceited. he is not star material as well.

Peter Simon, Adam is the best in the group, he can mersmerize people with his performance, that is what makes him stand out, not just from the present AL group but from well established singers. ADAM TO WIN AMERICAN IDOL.

Even I don’t like his theatrics, Adam has the best attitude as American Idol,and he is very determined. Personally, I like Kris, is a true musician, but he don’t have the force and the conviction of Adam. Is just an opinion.

Adam all the way!! He’s superstar status. I download his tunes and his voice is wonderful to listen to. He is not only broadway he can concerts, recordings. Can you imagine a concert by Danny..???? Nice guy but after two songs… Boring. He seems physically a little clumsy. Adam always looks in control and knows how to use his body. The rest of them sing from their heads. As you can see by reading above at least 99% of the people are for Adam..I was so shocked to see Ryan ask him to stand by the bottom 3..I think it is all a put up and if Adam does not win, I will never watch American Idol again..

If you have ever heard of Elvis Presley, Adam reminds me more of him than anyone I have seen since he has been gone..Also Adam’s voice is very similar to Michael Jackson, one of the greatest showmen of our time at one time..Adam could go on to be that great…The others on there, no way!!Perhaps some of you have never heard of Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson..

Adam is my personal favorite, but for the first time, I did not care for his performance this past week. He deserved to be in the bottom 2 based on this week, but I expect he will rebound (especially this coming week) and make it to the finals. Unfortunately, he has been the best overall, and it is too bad 1 off week could get you voted off prematurely. His supporters will without a doubt pull him through next week, but will they fail to vote the final 2 weeks AGAIN?

Kris will win it! He is the only multi-talented true MUSICIAN left. He plays several instruments with ease (and looks adorable doing it) and composes as well. The other three are quite good performers, but Kris is the guy to last for the long haul.

I do agree Adam has talent but I just can not stand when he screams. I believe this is the type of singing he chooses to do and for that fact I don’t want to see him win. I don’t want to hear the screaming if I were listening to a cd of his, that is why I vote for Danny. Danny can sing and he would be great if he would step up the beat a little more. After last week I was bored with them all. Time for them all to step it up and truly see what kind of music they prefer to do and eliminate the ones who can’t stack up. GO DANNY GO !!!

The talent this year has been far superior to past seasons on AI. Adam is really the most talented musician on the show this season and should win hands down. Allison has an amazing voice for her age, but lacks the maturity and self confidence to be the next AI. Chris and Danny are great singers but without a doubt Adam is the most creative, confident musician on the show. Way to go Adam!!!! You are our next American Idol for 2009.

Adam will be the next king. He owns any stage where he performs. Those naysayers out there should listen to him sing songs other than those on AI. Pure ecstasy in its pureet form. He has it all – he is a giant. All the others are simply “dust in the wind.”

Who has said that Adam is the best? Because of juges you voted for him. THis season is not as good as season 7.I love kris and I believe that he should win. The second person is danny for me.

It’s all about T.V. ratings…..and how Adam may not appeal to screaming, hormonal teenage girls…will these “screamers” be turned off if Adam is gay and unavailable (even in fantasy) to those heterosexual women? I’m a 63 year old bummer who only listens to Country Western – except for American Idol which my wife got me hooked on beginning with the second season. I love Carried Underwood’s songs and most of Kelly Pickler’s. I’ve never been to a concert and wouldn’t go to see them. Because, other than being good singers they don’t offer very much in the form of entertainment.

If I ever had an opportunity to go to an Adam Lambert concert I think I would go because he is so entertaining. My wife feels the same way.

Adam will win big this week .His fans are probably outraged by what happened. I can tell you now that this will keep the show more interesting and exciting because it is no longer a sure thing. Afterall. Adam was a heartbeat away from going home and that would have been a tragedy. He is, by far, the best and should be the next American Idol, in my opinion.

Have any of you tried to turn you face way from the TV and just listen to Adam sing? I tried and his voice hurts my ears. No doubt he is a great and the best performer on the show. But I think he is for Vegas or Broadway.

Well Frank, I have to agree with you, although not as old a bummer (50) and enjoy country I mainly only go to Classic Rock Concerts ie: Crosby, Stills, Nash a couple of months ago, but yes I’d go see Adam as well, the guy is very entertaining and since he’s been doing it awhile you know your going to get a quality show! He’s also only going to get better!

I didn’t say “Adam sounds like Elvis”..I said he reminds me of him..From the beginning night I noticed a very strong physical resemblance to Elvis..Also he has the charm and charisma and can hold the attention of the entire crowd like Elvis could…If you listen to some of Michael Jackson’s hits, Adam’s voice is a lot like his…Michael Jackson was another one that could hold an audience’ attention forever because you never knew what he might do next..I’m just saying American Idol has never had a contestant on that could outsell Elvis or Michael Jackson..Adam is the one!!

Mary Anne you are so right in your repply. People have to recognise the individuality and exceptional talent of Adam. He is capable of holding the audience attention by his exceptional performances, his voice, and his stage presence. There are very few artist that pocess that quality, he deserves to win American Idol.

Adam is undoubtedly the most consummate singer that I’ve ever seen in all american idol seasons. He is versatile and his style of delivering his songs are impeccably outstanding. Its a pity I can’t vote his as i am in Singapore. If I have the chance to vote, he will definitely have my votes every week. Adam will win! becasue it was part of the script. He was cool and boyish and shows he is playful. Adam was
just reserved, that’s the right word and busy

Here in the UK the only contestant people are talking about is Adam Lambert, you have a great top 4 left but Adam is mesmerising, enthralling and compelling to watch. His sexuality seems to have no bearing on his popularity here so it’s very shocking to read some of the comments posted,perhaps the UK is more liberal? I don’t know. The results night was obviously a clever set-up, these shows can be manipulative, but it certainly got everyone’s attention and more people than ever will tune in to the next show and Adam will “up” his game even more!The general consensus is that if Adam isn’t in the final it’s not worth watching I’m afraid. Can’t wait for next week.

I am from Philippines as well. I have relatives in US who is an avid fan of DANNY GOKEY. I am voting for Danny through long distance. I came from Christian Church and the youth ministry is on fire to campaign for Danny Gokey!!! There’s a

I’d rather chose Danny, Kris or Allison.

Most absolutelty all of them deserve to be in top 4 but the most potential to stay in the competiton and be in the finals are Adam, Allison or Danny. But hey, all of them are so amazing and marvellous on the Rat Pack performances and who knows, even Kris may be landing in the finals especially with his amazing creative and marvellous performance. No matter what, if any of your fave idols got to be eliminated in the next few rounds, got to say that all of them are already winners and it’s true what Paula and Jamie Fox commented on the top 5 idols especially Jamie Fox that she said that the top 5 idols are the best thing that happen throughout the season of the American Idol!

I went crazy last week while the results show was going on. To see Adam in the bottom two was just absurd. I agree with the people who say that Adam is the only reason we watch the show, but… I think Allison is another reason too. Adam and Allison are my predictions to be in the finally!

I have downloaded all of Kris’s songs and most of Danny’s. Kris is the most skilled musician on the show, plus his voice has that something extra. I will buy any album he cuts. He is cute, and I enjoy watching him perform, but it’s the music that matters in the end.
Adam is a talented performer, no doubt about that, and he can sing, but his voice irritates after awhile.
LOVE Danny’s “Come Rain or Come Shine.” If he puts out an album of songs like that, I will RUN to buy it.
Allison is adorable and talented, but her voice has little variety as yet. Give her a few years–she reminds my husband of Pat Benatar.
Overall, I’m a Kris fan, but I’ll also cheer if Danny wins. They are both fine young men.

If each of their performances on AI were put together at a concert for that performer I know who I would be more entertained by for an entire concert.

I’d have to say that Danny and Allison are my top fav’s!! But I don’t think Allison will make it to the finals… I think Danny and Adam will be the last two standing in the finals!!

Adam has the most natural talent. I have been one that has watched, but never called. I will this week. I have nothing negative to offer about the other three, but Adam has the chops to be a very big star because of his stage presence.

There a thousands of people with great vocal skills. I sing in four chorale groups, one that travels worldwide. I know probably six to eight people who solo in these groups, as amateurs, that have superior vocal skills than any of the idols, but have chosen other careers and use their talent as a hobby.

Being a professional performer takes a special ego. Simon Cowell often states it correctly when he advises contestants to believe in themselves more and develop a little “attitude.”

If Adam doesn’t win, so be it; but, he is the only one with the total package on the show this year.

It’s not the start that matters but it is how you end. A lot of big talented singers that you people compare with Adam. Where are they now? They end up with drugs and sexual abuse. No question about their talent but are they good example? Can you tell to your son, it’s ok to molest a child? Hello….wake up!!!!!

WAKE UP – Adam is on the bottom because the general public doesn’t like him. Each week with the others being voted off; viewers are looking closely at the remaining contestants and are being honest about who has the true talent. Do you think anyone that voted for Matt are now going to vote for Adam? Doubtful.

The fact that he is gay has nothing to do with it. Most people don’t care if a performer is gay or not. Many of the bloggers sending love letters to Adam are unintelligent dewy eyed pre-teens that are mesmerized by his daring Goth look. The average person is sitting home watching this guy with dyed black hair, eye liner and black nail polish and shrieking nonsense are gagging.

Clearly the new American Idol is NOT going to be Adam. He will be lucky to last through next week. Because he techically is now at the bottom, people will now see him in the downward spiral like Matt, and will ne jumping off the bandwagon because they want to be part of the voting for a winner.

In none of the other years has a contestant come up from the bottom at this point to win. This is a singing conpetition and you need to be talanted and be able to sing well.

Danny Gokey or Kris Allen are the best. These 2 have good career in the future coz they are fine man. I could say that the most talented among them all is Kris coz he does piano and keyboards aside from his singing ability. Cool looks too.

Kris Allen is cuter than Ryan Seacrest. He can be a host of AI one day. Danny Gokey can be judge to replace Simon Cowell coz he can be a good critic. Adam remains screaming and can be in the cast of shake rattle and roll.

I am not avid fan of Adam Lambert coz his style I have seen that in Manila like the punchliner or music box. Those entertainers can impersonate singers and entertain audience. Its like boxing… When you know that your opponent is above you and that no matter how had you try you canno beat him in his game. The way to get to him is to hit him below the belt and hope that it is hard enough to bring him down. Ganyan si Adam Lambert. Talent wise there is nowhere you can defeat him and the only way to do that is to hit him where it will hit him hardest and that is through his personal life. Toni, I recognize Adam Lambert’s ability. As I have mentioned in my previous statement. One has to win and that’s Danny as my prefernce. I can not deny it when it come to choices, I have to choose but many factors to consider and not only one factor like “talent”. It is a singing competition, you’re right but Someone who deserves to be Idolized should win. I am not swayed by visual but by content when it comes to decisions. It is all about choices. Your choice determines who you are!!!! Danny or Kris should win.

Japanka- Gokey has the same type of voice as Rod Stewart……. so he can be compared with the great Rod Stewart because of
his distinctive raspy/gritty voice which will make him famous. Perhaps not spectacular, like Adam but definitely not very ordinary.

David Cook is a rocker, though I am not a lover of rock music, I was engrossed to listen to him sing songs. I was 100% fan of David Cook. Now,

Top 4, Rock and Roll, Duets and Slash – If American Idol wanted to give us the best possible combos, the answer is easy – Allison sings with Danny (voices best suited/compatible) Adam sings with Kris.  Allison could probably sing with anyone, though she’d probably over-power Kris…… Adam and Allison could work but it might end up in a “screaming match” I say this without malice. I can’t wait to see them sing together, if that ends up happening, it would still be a great performance.  Danny and Kris, well, It would be interesting to see them perform a duet, it could be cool

Absolutely. Everybody is saying “this is a singing competition”… Season 6 AI contestant Melinda Dolittle was the only contestant that was consistent, excellent and praised by the judges. She was voted off before Blake & Jordin.
She has the singing ability but Melinda does not have that appeal like Jordin. I am not saying that Melinda is ugly, ok. I am just pointing that PERSONALITY counts here in this kind of competition.

If Melinda Dolittle given the chance to have looks like Katherine Mcphee, She may win the AI at that time. Isn’t it? So, it is not only vocal ability or performance ability. PERSONALITY counts.
