American Idol 2010 Hollywood Week Round 2 Tonight

Tonight on American Idol 2010 the remaining contestants will team to perform up for what is always a stressful episode. After last night’s round of decisions the pool is getting smaller and the heat is getting higher.

What did you think of Ellen’s debut as a judge? I thought she did alright but I wasn’t swayed too much in either direction. At least she defended her lack of musical background when claiming she knew what it took to be a performer.

Ellen was fantastic. Intelegent comentary with enough humor without stealing the show. No doubt she will add to the shows style and help bring out the best of the performances. Unlike Paula who was a negative distraction.

If I wanted to watch Ellen Degeneres I’d watch the Ellen show. A standup comedian has no place critiquing vocals/musical talent..just like musicians don’t go around judging comedy acts-fair is fair. Paula brought a good balance with Simon…I dont see any chemistry between Ellen and Simon at all! I thought a better choice would have been Posh Spice “Victoria Beckham” as a permanent judge as she was great as a guest judge. She had real chemistry with Simon! Both Brits!

I was very pleasantly surprised. She seems to take her position as a judge seriously and leaves her joking around for the other judges. She loosens things up. Of course, when she moved everyone around from front to back, back to front, side to side etc. may have made the contestants alittle uptight (or maybe it easied tension?). Looking forward tonight. I hope Andrew doesn’t get bumped, as it suggested at the end of the show.

I think Ellen did a great job. She added her natural humour to the show. I was disappointed that Mandy Curtis was cut though. I hope she auditions again next year.

Andrew Garcia who sang Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up.” He has a terrific voice and put his own spin on the song which is what I like to see.” I Agree with this statement. He is my favorite so far. He also reminds me of Danny Gokey from season 8. Who was one of my favorites too. I think Ellen has showed to be a good judge. A little of “Not Sure” but I think she earned some respect.

I am sorry I know this isnt the topic here but I am trying to post this everywhere I can in order to gain support for like thinkers.I am a big supporter of the show. I watch even through the first few weeks of nonsense. I am in awe of all the talent in these young people. If Howard Stern becomes part of this show it will be a huge disrespect to these performers and I will not watch the show. It’s the worse idea AI ever had. I thought you learned your lesson with bikini girl!
And yes I thought Ellen did a great job

I’m not usually a fan of Ellen’s but I was very pleasantly surprised. She was funny, accurate and didn’t drone on. I’m looking forward to her comments on the final shows. If she stays edgy, maybe she can replace Simon. No, no Howard please!

I was hoping to see another woman judge to replace the Great X judge PAULA but Mr.Simon coudln’t find in 300 million american a female judge and gave the Job to another Man instead,Poor Cara now have to go against 3 meen

That is right, having so many wonderful knowledgable musicians, why Helen? Has the show been transform in half comedy. We want pure singing, just like Dancing with teh Stars is only dancing. And I still think that Samuel Larsen should be one or the 24. It would be a big mistake if he is not.
