First Look: Adam Lambert & His New Band
Adam Lambert, American Idol’s runner-up last season, has released the first look at his new band. Good to see they’re all such non-conformists that they’re even conforming to their own non-conformity. Well, maybe all except the keyboardist who has declared herself a clothes-free zone.

If this band sticks together for the next 10 – 15 yrs, it will be interesting watching the girl in the undies mature. LOL. Sometimes, being a non conformist paints one into a corner. She may be the living proof of such.

I disagree. I am a normal, well adjusted, hard-working 49 year old and I think Adam is amazing. I love Kris too, to be honest. I have a number of friends over the age of 40 who are still interested in what’s going on in the arts today. Generalizations are seldom correct.

AWESOME! The sky is the limit Adam go for it. We needed someone like Adam to come along, break all the rules (in a good way) step outside the box. I am thrilled!!!!!

I’m over 60 and I think Adam has incredible talent: ranking with Elvis, Paul Simon and Michael Jackson. If the press and public can allow him to develop his career I believe that we will all benefit from his artistry!!!

I am really dissapointed in what has come of Adam Lambert and his whole career. It looks gothic and dark. Too bad American Idol had to be a part of this. Don’t know if I’ll even be interested in next season if this is what comes out of it. Sorry.

Adam is a talent to be reckoned with indeed. The look is just that, a look. Nothing more. The early rule breakers wore their own as well. Elvis, The Beatles, Stones, Jackson, etc. etc. etc. For the most part, the costumes will be seen only if you desire to see them. It’s the sound that matters. Anyone else notice the socks in his pants? LOL

I am sorry Adam, I really think your new band is awful looking. I am a grandmother and really enjoyed you singing on Idol, but hoped you would not go so extreme!!

I am disappointed, the look is too far out. gay or not Adam is too good looking to be so dark and overly extreme. I would love to see him perform in person but would not so much appreciate the back up band.

OH! By the way I forgot to mention that I’m a Grandmother, and I still say go for it Adam. I think you are fabulous anyway you are. Some people can’t accept change and that says that.
My only advise is, you are multi talented and can sing anything wonderfully. So I would hate to see you loose and become one thing like the dark sie of Goth and not utilize that wonderful voice you have.

Adam is a genuine talent but I think he is going to the extreme and will only focus on the younger crowd. Michael Jackson was one to catch the crowd of all ages, Adam could be the same. But greatness is a combination of looks, music, fans, talent and most of all an entertainer which tries to please his or her fans and not just him or herself because that is the way they want to be.

I will be anxiously awaiting to see how the band performs in relation to being a background sound for Adam’s unbelievable voice. When I saw chains and other bondage items included for his first video preview, I was a little hesitant to fully accept this darker side of Adam’s music. However, I will take a “wait and see” attitude and trust that Adam will truly be the entertainer he plans to be, understanding that he has a large female fan base from 8 to 88 and hope he remembers that not all of us will accept such a change from the man we came to love and appreciate during his outstanding performances on American Idol. I know that Adam is a very intelligent man and will endeavor to strike a perfect balance for all of his fans’ entertainment.

I was absolutely blown away every single time by Lambert’s performances on American Idol 2009.
His vocal versatility, showmenship proves he deserved to be the winner. I look forward to his tour, and his new CD. American Idol finally got their pick right!!

The members of Queen have said many times that if people love you or hate you, you have something amazing. Adam has that in spades – few people are neutral on him. Yeah, he’s different and pushing some boundaries but so did Freddie and many like him in their early days. Time will tell and I think Time will have Adam around for the long haul.

I agree with Jo (post #19). He has sooo much talent! I loved watching him on idol! He has to be careful with going so extreme in his look and music if he wants to reach the iconic stage of Elvis & Michael Jackson. He has proven he can sing/perform anything.. I hope he doesn’t limit himself to just the gothic/rock side.

I would like to agree with (JO) post #19!! I love ADAM! Belong to his fan club. And he has the talent to be a national icon like Michael Jackson. BUT, AND THIS IS A BIG BUT~He was waaaay too extreme when he got the chance of a life time to sing the ending show tonight on the American Music Awards!! It was over the top for me. It had too much how can I say this with out offending anyone?????? CAMP, GAY LOOKING ADAM. JUST LIKE CLAY AIKEN BECAME AFTER AMERICAN IDOL. If he doesn’t stop it, or his people don’t put a stop to it he will not become anything great! PERSONALLY, I THOUGHT ADAM WAS MUCH SMARTER THAN THAT. MY husband who really liked ADAM on American Idol thought it was disgusting.COME ON NOW ADAM! GET WITH THE PROGRAM OF JUST BEING IKE YOU WERE ON AMERICAN IDOL IF YOU WANT TO LAST!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT ADAM BEING ON THE AMA LAST NIGHT THAT I STOOD UP AND WATCHED THE WHOLE SHOW……I WASN’T TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I FIGURED HE WOULD BE OUT THERE AND HE WAS….BUT I KNOW HE HAS OTHER SIDES TO HIM FROM WATCHING IDOL….HE SINGS THE SONG FROM 2012 AND I LOVED IT…….I KNOW I WILL BE A FAN OF HIS ALWAYS….I THINK HE IS A RARE TALENTS AND MAY NEED A LITTLE GUIDANCE BUT HE HAS STAGE PRESENT AND HE WILL BE FINE……

WELL DIANA THE WAIT IS OVER…HIS CD IS AWESOME….I PRE-ORDERED MINE ONLINE AND RECEIVED IT YESTERDAY…..I PLAYED THE ENTIRE CD…..IT WAS WONDERFUL……I KNOW HIS PERFORMANCE WAS OVER THE EDGE ON THE AMA BUT HIS CD IS GREAT…..NOW I HAVE TO LISTEN TO KRIS ALLEN’S…..I’M SURE IT WILL BE GOOD IN A DIFFERENT STYLE…..

Adam needs to stop trying to draw attention to himself for acceptance. I think his performance was ridiculous and would turn the channel if he appears live again. I turned it off during the AMA awards. He can sing, does not need to flaunt his agenda.

Adam is Adam, He’s got his own style, he’s a rare talent and a hot guy to watch move! The AMA was a little extreme but I felt a double standard with all of the criticism I have so much faith in his talent, have preorded the cd and can’t wait……

I think Adam is extremely talented, & was really looking forward to seeing him on the AMA. But if that is an example of his future performances, he certainly lost one ole granny who was sorely disappointed. But then, I fast forwarded through most of the show to see him, & didn’t miss much.

Even though Adam lost to Kris Alan because of manipulation of the voting systems . But he will become the MOST FAMOUS OF ALL THE PREVIOUS IDOL !!! Why ??? Because he is the most versatile and can sing many types of songs . Secondly he is one the bravest gay singer that I have ever seen . He is not a hypocrite like most people in this world . Some people on the outside might have a wife and kids . Privately they have affairs with their boyfriends . So Adam Rocks – Baby – LONG LIVE TO ADAM . After Michael Jackson – Adam will be the next ICON !!!

I hate to call myself a Granny but I for one can’t wait for his concerts…..Gay…..I don’t care, he’s talented and about the sexiest singer I’ve seen in a long time……He’s hot! Love his voice and taste in clothes…..doesn’t hurt to have a great body to put them on! Adam is what he is, love him or leave him alone!

I say that Adam Lambert and his new band are the bomb! They are very talented, will go places, and they are the real deal. America spends to much time on judging stars instead of just enjoying their talent at face value. Even if he was a Satanist,lol, who cares, he has wonderful talent and his songs are awesome!

I’ve been a fan since his first appearance on idol, I’m over 60 and hope he makes smart choices because he has too much going for him to go down the wrong road. I for one can’t wait for a concert tour! Love his look, personality, fashion taste and most of all his voice. I hope he surrounds himself with good people.

@ Sherry and Coleen, I am 42 and what I enjoy most about Adam is that he knows who he is as an artist, he is bold, and he doesnt care what people think. He may just be targeting the teenage crowd because they r usually the most open minded people when it comes to music and they dont judge u by how u look as long as the music is good. We as a society just need to not view a book by its cover and just enjoy his band. I remember when Adam did an interview with someone after the AMA’s and they ask Adam if he wanted to apologise for inappproprite behavior. Adam gave a wonderful answer, he said it was 11 pm and I am entertainer so I entertained. He was he was not a baby sister and he is right. At 11 pm the only people who should be up r adults and if u get offended with him then u have to be old fashioned and closed minded. Life is to short so one should have an open mind and just enjoy him.

I just hope he doesn’t stick to the one genre. He obviously has enough talent to play a wide range of music to a wide range of audiences. I don’t really care how “out there” he wants to be – I just hope he doesn’t feel he always has to be “way out there”……
