Last night on American Idol 2009 Matt Giraud was eliminated after receiving the fewest viewer votes. The big shocker of course was Adam Lambert ending up in the bottom 3 along w/ Kris and Giraud. Will the Legion of Lambert be a bit more vigilant next week with voting to keep him out of the bottom ring?

If Adam had been eliminated I would not watch the rest of this season’s show. Adam is definitely the best and he is the one I will continue to vote for. He will get a record contract no matter what!
He has the heart/talent of a pure artist. His musicallity is the strongest of all remaining contestants. He understands each song and delivers its message with ease and a passion that is natural. Any song writer would be proud to have him perform their work.
I am huge fan of Allison Iraheta She only girl in top 4. She will win next American Idol. My Eary Prediction is Adam Lambert will go home next Wednesday in my top 4 elimination result is Adam Lambert!!!!!!!!! Allison Iraheta will great in Rock and Roll next week. I was shocked last night but believe that the events may have been staged to hold our attention. Now I enjoy Adam and Allison and they will make albums I will purchase. Danny and Kris are good, but like so many other idols would fade away unless brought back to sing a song now and then. Some are doing great work and I”m happy for them.
I dont believe Adam is arrogant he is composed and there is a degree of anxiety you can see in his facial movement.( Yes I get paid or did get paid to observe the body language of others. Allison is beautiful and she had a great voice, and shouldnt be as polished with her responses when asked a question at age 17. Danny would make a great Gospel singer but he isnt what I consider an American Idol.

Although all of the remaining contestants are talented, Adam is simply the best. He is creative, gifted and has the showmanship to carry his career for a long time. I don’t see these attributes in Allison or Kris. I love Danny but I see him doing more in the teaching side of music rather than performing. If Adam does not win Idol it will be as big as a travesty as when Chris lost a few years ago.
The reason I tune in each week is to hear and see Adam Lambert’s performances. He is so talented and charismatic on stage. If Adam goes, I will lose interest in the show. Adam…you really do rock!

I’m with you Barbara. I’m an aging boomer and think both Adam and Allison rock and would pay to go see these two in a sec but none of the others. I like singers (from just about all genres actually) that make me take notice because they’re different and just “grab a hold of me”. Both of these two do it for me – Adam is my favourite – wish I could vote in Canada. Please vote your fingers off for me for Adam.
Hello , I am 57 years old and live with professional musicians – ADAM LAMBERT is the BEST!!!!!! I totally agree with Barbara, anne and pj – I would pay (a lot) to see Adam on stage. I will buy any and all recordings – I love his voice. And I really believe he is charismatic and genuine. I do not agree at all that he is arrogant, I can’t figure out some of these comments. Look what Ayleen and aida said – they know talent.
I was in such a state of shock to see Adam in the bottom 3. That was absurd. Adam is so much better than the others. Although, i do think Allison has quite a voice. Adam should win. if he does not, the whole thing is a huge sham. He did not deserve last night’s ratings in the least!
I have a funny feeling that this will be the last season of Idol and the producers know it or they wouldn’t have pulled such a stupid stunt like they did last night.Lets be real,both Paula and Simmon are leaving the show,they know they will never match the caliber of talent they had this year so the ratings will plumet for sure and they just don’t care.As far as Adam being in the bottom three I think was a combination of three things,#1 AI drama stunt #2 people didn’t vote for Adam and voted for Allison (like myself) assuming Adam would be safe,#3 Adam had a lot of fans turn on him for all the wrong reasons.I read a lot of blogs where people said they would not vote for him any more cuz he is gay yet they were the biggest fans ever till they found out.How pathetic is that???

Last night was ridulous with Adam being in the bottom two. I don’t believe it for a minute. Someone is looking for ratings???? If Adam were to go I also wouldn’t watch AI again as I wait with bated breath each week just to see what he’s going to do. Love Adam and he’s been the winner from the first show.

Most prediction sites are calling it too close to call. In a couple more weeks w/ two more leaving there will be a lot of votes looking for a new home. I doubt they’ll switch over to Adam or they’d be in his corner already; he’s so different from the others. I think Allison picked up several Lil votes this week which helped her some but imma guessin the last one standing will be Danny or Kris. It just depends on what happens with all those new ‘homeless’ votes.

I am a huge fan of Allison, I have been voting for her since the beginning. I believe it will be Adam and Allsion in the finale, at least it should it be? Could anyone honestly sit through an entire concert of Danny or Kris? Kris…maybe. Danny is waaaaaay to arrogant and i believe a bit conceeded. Adam being in the bottom 2 was simply because people did not vote for him. Many people have came out and said they did not vote, not did my two roomates, because they thought he would be safe. WRONG! I am not an Adam fan, and was happy to see him there, but you NEED to vote if you want your favorite to win, dont assume anything. Allison deserved to be in the top 2 position. Shes amazing!! Sad, but true. If Adam isn’t in the final two, the show will not be worth watching. They have milked all of the back-stories and it’s time to focus on the best entertainer. None of the final four will be as big as Carrie Underwood. None of them are more than niche entertainers, good, but with limited appeal. JMO
I think Allison would do great next week in Rock ‘n’ Roll! I agree with every fan who votes for Allison. And I think that Kris would eliminated next week on Wed. I don’t have anything against Kris but so far, I think most people vote Adam Lambert just because he looks good (not that I think so). Listen to his voice when he hits a high note people! It all shrill! Kris is not bad at singing, Danny’s good for gospel (especially Jesus Take The Wheel), Adam’s not good in high notes, Allison is good at everything else and can rock! She’s the only girl left in the top 5, so place your votes on her people…or else!

He is the best performer, the others can also sing, but He is the all around performer. I say should be, because if we do not vote, He could lose. we need to Vote and Vote and Vote. I have heard a lot of garbage about Adam, and I say garbage because that’s what it is. This is a singing competition, I don’t care what his sexual preference is and I’m sick of hearing it. Clay Aitken is homosexual and he was on idol and look at him now. Let’s not forget what Idol is about. and PLEASE…VOTE until your fingers fall off… He deserves this, we can’t let him down. Danny and Allison are good, but they are not in the same class as Adam.
Adam, you are a great performer, you have it all, talent, looks, a voice that can bring out so many emotions all at the same time, from “you rock baby” I feel alive, to a simple smile, some really sad emotions and even a frown every now and again…. that leaves everybody wondering…that is what music is all about… Danny, Kris you guys have great voices, I will buy all your CD’s – sure wish there could be 3 winners!!!

I must say I have to agree with Jodi Mueller! I think the ones who say Adam screams are tone deaf or something. Hsven’t they ever listened to Freddy Mercury of Queen. Come on! Adam is fabulous. Kaitlyn there must be something with your hearing, Adam does not shrill on the high notes, the high notes are perfect, all the AL judges are in agreement with this. Peter Simon, how can you say that Adam is an impersonator, he is a fantastic performer, he brings every song to life, that is what a good singer should be doing eitherwise the whole performance will have no meaning.

It’s obvious that he is the best contestants this year. He knows what song to do, he knows how to make the song prefect, he knows how to rock the house.
He must Win, if not, this show would be an unfair show.
To everyone who seems so obsessed with categorizing Adam as “theatrical, and Broadway” therefore not American Idol material, what are you talking about? American Idol is about finding talent. Where that talent takes contestants is wide open. Jennifer Hudson was on Broadway AND won an Oscar remember? Many AI alums have ended up doing very well in Broadway performances, Fantasia, Dianna Digarmo, Ace, Taylor Hicks, Clay Aiken to name a few. I’m sorry to say this but I have felt that Danny seems very arrogant. He also seems somewhat immature and goofy. Allison is just so darn sweet, and cute, but sometimes her voice sounds as if she has been smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day–just too rough. Chris, has a good voice, but he does NOT have the range or performance abilities that Adam has. Adam is not arrogant, he is confident. Confidence will take you a lot further than somewhat who is still trying to figure themselves out. Who cares if Chris is “cute”. As Adam said, “it’s a singing contest. ” Adam does not scream, he holds amazingly high notes, and can still bring them down to a purr. I think too many Adam fans tried to manipulate the system last week by voting for who they wanted to compete with him in the finals i.e. Allison or Chris. Knock it off people. I am bummed that I have to work next Tuesday, and I don’t think my patients will want me to be distracted by trying to vote for American Idol. I voted 2 hours straight last week, come on you guys, let’s not let Adam down. No more funny business.

Adam Lambert deserves to win more than anybody else. He has shown so much originality and he can appeal to such a wide group of people.
I will not watch American Idol if they will eliminate Adam Lambert. iT is just too frustrating, i almost had a heart attack when i saw him at the bottom 3, i couldnt believe he belonged to that group. i also didnt like matt the elimination of matt giraud. i would wish danny gokey had been eliminated instead of matt giraud. gokey is too arrogant and self conceited. he is not star material as well.
Go Danny and Kris/Kris and Danny!!! By far the 2 best this season; and probably just about ever on the show, (although Scott was a close 3rd). The end should be a tie this year between the two of them. Allison can be decent, but can get annoying; and the same with Adam. His theatrics and screaming get way too much. He is a stage performer, not a CD/concert one. I also believe this is the last season; that’s why they’ve pulled so many stupid tricks. Bringing in a 4th, horrible judge, the top 13, not balancing males and females, the save and using it on the wrong person–it’s been a ridiculous year. Hopefully, though, they will go out “on top” and not let it go on until it’s become even worse.
Peter Simon, Adam is the best in the group, he can mersmerize people with his performance, that is what makes him stand out, not just from the present AL group but from well established singers. ADAM TO WIN AMERICAN IDOL.
I thought Kris should have went home last week instead of Matt and now I think he will go this week. Adam will win the competition with Allison right behind him .
Even I don’t like his theatrics, Adam has the best attitude as American Idol,and he is very determined. Personally, I like Kris, is a true musician, but he don’t have the force and the conviction of Adam. Is just an opinion.
Adam Lambert is an all round entertainer. He does not have theatrics and screaming, AJ.
I think Allison is his worry but if Adam doesn’t win he will be picked up anyway. Of all the American Idol Shows, everyone I have spoken to in New Zealand reckons he is the best they have ever seen. And all the Judges love him. They should not have used their Save Card so soon, I was sure they would save it for him. Scary.
Adam all the way!! He’s superstar status. I download his tunes and his voice is wonderful to listen to. He is not only broadway he can concerts, recordings. Can you imagine a concert by Danny..???? Nice guy but after two songs… Boring. He seems physically a little clumsy. Adam always looks in control and knows how to use his body. The rest of them sing from their heads. Adams the whole package.

As you can see by reading above at least 99% of the people are for Adam..I was so shocked to see Ryan ask him to stand by the bottom 3..I think it is all a put up and if Adam does not win, I will never watch American Idol again..
If you have ever heard of Elvis Presley, Adam reminds me more of him than anyone I have seen since he has been gone..Also Adam’s voice is very similar to Michael Jackson, one of the greatest showmen of our time at one time..Adam could go on to be that great…The others on there, no way!!Perhaps some of you have never heard of Elvis Presley or Michael Jackson..
I am not sure Adam sings anything like Elvis or Michael but he does have the looks of Elvis, he reminds me more of Steven Tyler. I don’t think anyone could ever replace Elvis or Michael or even come close.
I think what turns people off of Adam is the tongue thing, it annoys me anyway. When he hits those amazing notes his tongue hangs out, nasty!
I am sure last week people were just trying to keep their favorites in. I know I was and it didn’t work. I wanted Adam to win and Matt to be in the top 3. So now my attention will be soley Adam. Danny has got to go along with Kris they both bore me to tears. Pleaes people we have got to get those 2 off the show ASAP so there isn’t another fluke like last week. If you don’t want to get turned off by Adam DO NOT go to you tube, really gross! I don’t care if he is gay but some of the things I saw on there were just disgusting. I am still voting for Adam because he is by far the most talented of all of the contestants.
Adam is my personal favorite, but for the first time, I did not care for his performance this past week. He deserved to be in the bottom 2 based on this week, but I expect he will rebound (especially this coming week) and make it to the finals. Unfortunately, he has been the best overall, and it is too bad 1 off week could get you voted off prematurely. i voted for allison many times. i like her and wanted to save her but i usually vote for adam and will do that from now on. it almost cost adam.hope he does an elvis tune next week.
Kris will win it! He is the only multi-talented true MUSICIAN left. He plays several instruments with ease (and looks adorable doing it) and composes as well. The other three are quite good performers, but Kris is the guy to last for the long haul.

why do people here insist that Adam Lambert is screaming? There is a great difference between screaming and belting. Adam is a belter lol……… most rockers are belters. i dont think his treatrical experience is a minus factor cuz in fact a good performer need to have theatrical experience as well to get people to see their concerts.
So far, Adam Lambert is the only guy who really catched my fancy. By far, he is the greatest one in this batch. Danny Gokey, Kris allen and even allison iraheta cannot sell out a concert but adam lambert cn sell a concert to his multitude of fans.

People like what they like.I am realizing that alot of people know very little about range, hitting notes in tune, pitch, control, and consistantly singing every song with all of the above. The talent this year has been far superior to past seasons on AI. Adam is really the most talented musician on the show this season and should win hands down. Allison has an amazing voice for her age, but lacks the maturity and self confidence to be the next AI. Chris and Danny are great singers but without a doubt Adam is the most creative, confident musician on the show. Way to go Adam!!!! You are our next American Idol for 2009.

As big of a surprise as it was for Adam to be in the bottom three, I was more surprised that Kris was in bottom 3 over Allison.
I think Adam is doing too much of this screaming thing with his tounge out, I love him, no doubt he is fantastic, but that is starting to get on my nerves. Plus, I like his hair the way he wears it, down across his face, I hope he does well on Rock week, this week.

I’m a 63 year old bummer who only listens to Country Western – except for American Idol which my wife got me hooked on beginning with the second season. I love Carried Underwood’s songs and most of Kelly Pickler’s. I’ve never been to a concert and wouldn’t go to see them. Because, other than being good singers they don’t offer very much in the form of entertainment.
If I ever had an opportunity to go to an Adam Lambert concert I think I would go because he is so entertaining. My wife feels the same way.

Adam will win big this week .His fans are probably outraged by what happened. I can tell you now that this will keep the show more interesting and exciting because it is no longer a sure thing. Afterall. Adam was a heartbeat away from going home and that would have been a tragedy. He is, by far, the best and should be the next American Idol, in my opinion.
The resulting night was surprising for Adam. He is very good singer but his performances start to be a little bit different than were before. In my opinion, he was feeling too sure that bottom three will not be his place but he was mistaken. Kris start to warming up and that could be very interesting. I hope that all four of them give us the best next week.
Have any of you tried to turn you face way from the TV and just listen to Adam sing? I tried and his voice hurts my ears. No doubt he is a great and the best performer on the show. But I think he is for Vegas or Broadway.
Putting in my two cents about one other thing. For people who are making a big deal about internet photos of Adam, a few points 1) some of these appear to be staged photos of a young man playing around, and being dramatic. 2)some pics are obviously from roles Adam has been in 3)Adam stated that his occupation was “singer”. Obviously people trying to feed themselves by that vocational choice are going to take what comes their way to keep their name out there. One of my sons was all about music and drama. He moved far away, and sent me a photo of him when lead singer in a band, with his hair in pigtails and wearing a dress. (He is not gay, nor bi.) I sat thru plays he was in that were ‘over-the-top’ and difficult for me, but very popular with the college crowd. I sat in bars I would never be in, except for being supportive. My son has never made it, but he loves music, and performing and close to age 40 still tries to give it a shot when he can. What I am trying to say is, this is a really, really hard industry to make it in, and those who are out scrapping to make it, take every opportunity that presents itself. So quit drawing conclusions about a persons worthiness, by photos that mean nothing, except that someone is in the industry. Adam Lambert is pure talent, but it is obvious that he is also a very hard worker. Why would anyone find fault with that?
Well Frank, I have to agree with you, although not as old a bummer (50) and enjoy country I mainly only go to Classic Rock Concerts ie: Crosby, Stills, Nash a couple of months ago, but yes I’d go see Adam as well, the guy is very entertaining and since he’s been doing it awhile you know your going to get a quality show! He’s also only going to get better!

That is because he is open to help others, sounds pretty charitable to me.

Here in the UK the only contestant people are talking about is Adam Lambert, you have a great top 4 left but Adam is mesmerising, enthralling and compelling to watch. The results night was obviously a clever set-up, these shows can be manipulative, but it certainly got everyone’s attention and more people than ever will tune in to the next show and Adam will “up” his game even more!The general consensus is that if Adam isn’t in the final it’s not worth watching I’m afraid. This is a singing competition, it is not a competition about religion, about sexualithy, it is judged on the performance of the individual, the unique talent, the ability to entertain the audience, the ability to excite the audience. No matter what happens, Adam is the best one of the four, no matter the results, Adam will go on to do much better then the other three. We live in a multicultural society, we all have different beliefs, we are all different, this is what makes the world more interesting, how boring if everyone was the same, lets respect each other and not judge people unfairly. Jason Mraz are those type of genre for Kris Allen. Danny Gokey can be a Rat Pack or Michael Buble genre. Adam lambert? name all the genre that has high screaming notes. It’s not music but it’s a noise. Boring is not the term instead soothing/calming.

We’ve all got different tastes and ideas on who should win so it’s pointless posting rude and arrogant responses as you’ll never change anyones mind. Just enjoy the show and lets just see who can fill a stadium after the dust settles on the live shows. I know who I would pay to see!!!
Your are missing the point Peter Simon, the judges are looking for vocal ability, they are looking for a recording artist, they are looking for performance, they are looking if the artist can entertain the audience. And who meets all these criteria? ADAM LAMBERT. As Lynne stated, lets see who can fill a stadium. Who will I pay to see? ADAM LAMBERT.
I went crazy last week while the results show was going on. To see Adam in the bottom two was just absurd. I agree with the people who say that Adam is the only reason we watch the show, but… I think Allison is another reason too. Adam and Allison are my predictions to be in the finally!

Toni. Is it really a singing? Or screaming competition. Everybody can sing like adam…. scream and stick out your tongue. It is a noisy music. There are chatter or music box that have singers to impersonate, entertain and make their audience excited just like what you feel when Adam sings. Have you been in those venues or places? I have downloaded all of Kris’s songs and most of Danny’s. Kris is the most skilled musician on the show, plus his voice has that something extra. I will buy any album he cuts. He is cute, and I enjoy watching him perform, but it’s the music that matters in the end.
Adam is a talented performer, no doubt about that, and he can sing, but his voice irritates after awhile.
LOVE Danny’s “Come Rain or Come Shine.” If he puts out an album of songs like that, I will RUN to buy it.
Allison is adorable and talented, but her voice has little variety as yet. Give her a few years–she reminds my husband of Pat Benatar.
Overall, I’m a Kris fan, but I’ll also cheer if Danny wins. 🙂 They are both fine young men.

Japanka do not underestimate the gospel songs because sooner or later you will long for it. Gospel song can be a slow song or can be a rock or fast beat. The difference is the lyrics coz it pertains to spiritual things.

Adam Lamber is going to win American Idol 2009 there isn’t a doubt in my mind.
Adam has the most natural talent. I have been one that has watched, but never called. I will this week. I have nothing negative to offer about the other three, but Adam has the chops to be a very big star because of his stage presence.
There a thousands of people with great vocal skills. I sing in four chorale groups, one that travels worldwide. I know probably six to eight people who solo in these groups, as amateurs, that have superior vocal skills than any of the idols, but have chosen other careers and use their talent as a hobby.
Being a professional performer takes a special ego. Simon Cowell often states it correctly when he advises contestants to believe in themselves more and develop a little “attitude.”
If Adam doesn’t win, so be it; but, he is the only one with the total package on the show this year.

WAKE UP – Adam is on the bottom because the general public doesn’t like him. Each week with the others being voted off; viewers are looking closely at the remaining contestants and are being honest about who has the true talent. Do you think anyone that voted for Matt are now going to vote for Adam? Doubtful.
The fact that he is gay has nothing to do with it. Most people don’t care if a performer is gay or not. Many of the bloggers sending love letters to Adam are unintelligent dewy eyed pre-teens that are mesmerized by his daring Goth look. The average person is sitting home watching this guy with dyed black hair, eye liner and black nail polish and shrieking nonsense are gagging.
The only thing Adam has going for him is a little charisma. He doesn’t have a very good voice. His shrill shriek when he sticks out his tongue is extremely irritating. My left eye is still switching from last Tues. He is by far the worst of the remaining 4.

Clearly the new American Idol is NOT going to be Adam. He will be lucky to last through next week. Because he techically is now at the bottom, people will now see him in the downward spiral like Matt, and will ne jumping off the bandwagon because they want to be part of the voting for a winner.
In none of the other years has a contestant come up from the bottom at this point to win. This is a singing conpetition and you need to be talanted and be able to sing well.
Certainly the winner will either be Allison or Danny. I really like Kris too, but you can’t have a 3 way tie.

Anyone that is basing their fantasy of ‘Adam has talent’ on what the judges say – especially Simon, are ignorant.
The only reason the show exists in the first place is to make $MONEY$. The only reason any of the judges have supported Adam is because they see him as a current marketable package that fits the AI time frame. They feel with his look and appeal to the teenagers that buy songs on ITunes, they can get a big bang out of him for a year or 2 until his contract runs out. They don’t care that anyone actually has talent. That would only be a bonus. They are only in it for the short term pop. That’s it. They want as much $MONEY$ in their hands as soon as possible. Simon flies between the US and the UK twice a week, doing this in the UK too. He and all of the shows producers don’t want to waste time. As some of you have said, Simon and others may be leaving soon.
They do not care, like the rest of America, that anyone has real talent and a long lasting career.
But that is the type of person I am voting for; Someone with lasting talent. Any of the others: Danny, Allison & Kris are much more talented and are the ones I want to listen to. We don’t need another Ricky Martin that will fizzle out after a couple lame pop songs.
As we have all seen many times, the judges can twist even some of the best performances different directions when they want to. Too many people have been sucked into the ‘Adam can’t do wrong’ ‘Adam is God’ ‘I lie awake at night thinking about Adam’s next performance and what he is going to be wearing’ etc. – Gag me.
Lucky the bottom line with this show is that viewers make the decision on who stays and that is why I keep watching.

Top 4, Rock and Roll, Duets and Slash – If American Idol wanted to give us the best possible combos, the answer is easy – Allison sings with Danny (voices best suited/compatible) Adam sings with Kris. Allison could probably sing with anyone, though she’d probably over-power Kris…… Adam and Allison could work but it might end up in a “screaming match” I say this without malice. I can’t wait to see them sing together, if that ends up happening, it would still be a great performance. Danny and Kris, well, It would be interesting to see them perform a duet, it could be cool 🙂

Last year, why the votes for both David A & David C were solid. No, arguments and no controversial issues. Unlike this season, Adam sings and performs well and yet people dislike him. Ted, Adam does not “literally” scream. Allice does a lot of that too especially with her Tina Turner-like vocals……. They have very powerful voices which allows them to be a lot more vocal than Danny & Kris…. Adam has an amazing ability to hit very high notes which is extremely difficult. You should try it some time……. He has never MISSED a note or have been off a note, he is spot on. We can’t fault Adam on his vocals and that is a fact. I totally agree with you though, Danny & Kris are both cool and not boring at all!!they are just different types of artists.

Absolutely. Everybody is saying “this is a singing competition”… Season 6 AI contestant Melinda Dolittle was the only contestant that was consistent, excellent and praised by the judges. She was voted off before Blake & Jordin.
She has the singing ability but Melinda does not have that appeal like Jordin. I am not saying that Melinda is ugly, ok. I am just pointing that PERSONALITY counts here in this kind of competition.
I mean Season 7 that was last year.
