In a constant attempt to keep American Idol interesting, producers’ latest efforts include allowing fans to send one contestant on to Hollywood known as America’s Choice Audition!
Even though judges Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr and Jennifer Lopez have already delivered all their golden tickets, there’s one more up for grabs. Four hopefuls, Emily Claire Shlesinger from Dallas, Kay Leon from Brooklyn, Raven Symone Basden from Miramar, Fla., and Tyler Clark from Ephraim, Utah, have not been seen by the judges. America will be their judge and votes from an online poll will send one of them to Hollywood Week.
On the voting site Each of the four contestants give a brief explanation as to why they are going to be the next American Idol and then go into their taped auditions. And all four are pretty different auditions. And these are very, very ordinary people auditions. Tyler is even sitting on the toilet (I’m pretty sure) in his audition.
Voting closes at 11:59pm PST on Tue. Oct. 21 so hurry if you want to have a say in who gets that last golden ticket!
