American Idol season 4 winner Carrie Underwood has premiered the video for her new hit single “See You Again.”
The summer song is light and breezy with a message of hope. That message comes across in the video as it shows people dealing with loss and success. There are also some nods to Sandy Hook Elementary school and tornado stricken Moore, Oklahoma. Carrie’s home state is Oklahoma.
Carrie performed the song at Wednesday night’s CMT awards honoring all the recent tornado victims.
“We really wanted to do something really special with the song,” Carrie told Entertainment Tonight. “The song itself, I think, is really beautiful. I’ve heard the most incredible stories about how it’s affected different people and what it means to them.”
She kicked butt last night at the CMT Awards. She looked so moved by the moment, too. What an amazing voice!
Beautiful as usual Carrrie! This can be a message to our lost loved ones in the service. And so true ,We will see them again!
