Paul McDonald from American Idol season 10 has a new single on the “Breaking Dawn” soundtrack called “All I’ve Ever Needed” and features his wife Nikki Reed. Reed, one of the stars of the Twilight films, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the song and its selection for the film’s soundtrack:
Reed and her husband Paul McDonald, who competed on the 10th season of American Idol, appear on the film’s soundtrack with their duet “All I’ve Ever Needed.” The song also was selected by director Bill Condon as the final track to play during the film’s credits.
“To think that after five films, it’s the last thing you’ll ever hear,” Reed told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s just really cool.”
McDonald and Reed have put together a 5-song EP but are looking to create more material for a possible tour as he told Rolling Stone:
“We’re going to go back in the studio and hopefully do some more songs, because you can’t book a tour with 20 minutes worth of material, unless we opened up for somebody,” says McDonald. “But yeah, we’d like to [tour], for sure. I want to take her out, put her in a 15-passenger van.”
Reed says she’s game: “We’ll bring a tent, as long as there’s room for the dogs.”
