Tonight will be the final round of performances and voting by America to decide who will move on to the next 3 seats in the American Idol 2009 Top 12 on Wednesday. This week will play out a little differently though with Thursday night’s episode revealing the judges panel’s three selections for the wild card category. That means we won’t be voting for the final 3 to be part of the Top 12.

Considering how much more of the singers the judges have seen than us I’m rather okay with this final selection process. I’m hoping they’ll make very informed choices, but we do risk them making controversial choices for the sake of ratings and promotion.
