American Idol 2013: Bryant Tadeo Cut After Performing ‘New York State Of Mind’

One of the biggest tragedies during the building of the American Idol 2013 Top 20 was Bryant Tadeo’s elimination during last night’s final “Sudden Death” rounds.

I thought his performance of Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” was one of the best performances of the night. But for some reason the judges and/or production didn’t think so. Or they did think so and that’s why he got cut. Who knows. Fans seem to disagree as it’s YouTube’s most-viewed performance video from last night.

I had a feeling he was at risk because he hasn’t gotten much of an edit. But after I heard him sing last night I thought maybe there was a chance. No. He’s out. What did you think of his performance? If you missed it or want to check it out again, we’ve got it below.

Do you think the judges made the right decision by cutting Bryant?

  1. Um I thought he sounded great … but his hand gestures were quite contrived … looked like he had been practising in front of a mirror , and they ended up being slightly out of sync ..

  2. Absolutely loved it He’s what the show needs Disgraceful to eliminate him !!!

  3. He sounded great. At some point over acted but his voice is good compared to the chosen 5

  4. this show is crap. i can stand keith a bit but the rest, OMG! this is one sample of poor judging- eliminating a good one. too early that i’m getting nauseated already thus far just because of the judges.

  5. i think only keith and mariah deserved to be called real judges. not that they appreciated his performance but you can really see who understand what true talent is.

  6. What a joke, he’s the too male
Voice easily. But you need to have gone through a tragic life or have a defect to get to the top 10 in idol
