Judges are SO NEGATIVE tonight!!! Don’t just say what you didn’t like, say what you did like too. “change it up”, “don’t change it up”, “make it your own”, “sing Bad Company”…..MAKE UP YOUR MINDS.
Kara needs to develop some boundaries and get a grip on herself. If Simon or Randy asked a female contestant to remove their shirt would the network stand for that I think not. I think she owes Casey and the rest of the contestants a major apology. Kara you have abused your position. AI is aabout the contestants ability to sing – they are not there to turn you on – Please, have more respect.
I am an american idol watcher, but I have to say I think the talent this year is lacking. It’s like there are no spotlights you can’t wait to see. There were tons last year, Allison, Danny, Kris, Adam, Matt, they were all so good it was positive comments left and right. This year all the positive comments have either been about outfits or appearance. Has this turned into a beauty pageant or a singing competition? Maybe it’s good this is the last year. I guess all the good talent has already been on the show! Poor choices judges….they better step things up or the 30 million is going to take a serious plunge!
Casey James might look good and sing good and have good hair ….but so does Alex Lambert..he’s been grazing and will bring it home!!
I was impressed with Lee DeWyze tonight. He has the talent and he’s a doll! I think he’ll go far in this competition.
Brie you taking this the wrong way(i think somebody’s jealous) …and besides Kara was joking..My couz went closer to the tv screen …i would have felt sorry for the guy if he was actually here..So forgive kara if she is experiencing the same symptoms -besides she did give her input as a judge after the joke..
I 100% agree with Brie. Kara is teetering on the annoying border. And Ellen…come on Ellen. I absolutely LOVE your talkshow, but if you don’t stop smoothing over your constructive criticism and rambling on and on, you could be as much as an annoyance as Paula was. THANK HEAVENS FOR SIMON AND RANDY!! At least 2 of the 4 are honest and to the point.
I would have liked to know what the past idols are thinking of the new contestants- having gone thru this and all..are they up for supporting the top ten …hmmm …Ellen – My home circle loves you …you too other judges :D..
Come on Job…when you don’t know people -you gotta watch how you putting your points over as some take it the wrong way ..Ellen has a way of motivating as well as pointing out flaw at the same time ..lets hope the contestants listen and read between the lines when necessary…
AMERICAN IDOL IS HORIBLE SO FAR! I KNOW IT IS THE FIRST SHOWS, BUT YOUR NEVER GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION. SOMEBODY GET PAULA ABDUL BACK QUICK. SHE OBVIOUSLY WAS THE ONE ON THE SHOW THAT HAD AN EAR FOR TALENT BECAUSE THERE MIGHT BE 5 PEOPLE THIS YEAR WHO CAN SING. I CAN’T BELIEVE WITH ALL THE YEARS THAT THESE JUDGES HAVE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY THAT THEY DIDN’T PUT BETTER TALENT ON THE SHOW. I AM NOT BASING MY OPINION JUST ON LAST NIGHTS/TONIGHTS PERFORMANCES. I WAS CRAZY ABOUT THE MAJORITY OF THEM FROM THE BEGINNING. THEY REALLY SENT SOME OF THE WRONG ONES HOMES THIS TIME. THEIR LACK OF JUDGMENT WILL PROBABLY HURT RATINGS. I’M NOT SURE I WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH. I WANT TO WATCH A SHOW FULL OF WOW PERFORMANCES, NOT ONE HORRIBLE ONE AFTER THE OTHER. THEY TELL THESE CONTESTANTS THAT THEY WILL SEE WHERE THEY MADE THEIR MISTAKES WHEN THEY WATCH THEIR PERFORMANCE BACK. MAYBE THE JUDGES SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THEIR OWN ADVICE BECAUSE THERE ARE SEVERAL BETTER SINGERS THAT THEY DID NOT SEND THROUGH THIS YEAR. WHAT A BLUNDER FOR FOX THIS YEAR!! HOPE THERE IS SOMETHING BETTER ON THE OTHER STATIONS OR LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE FINDING A GOOD BOOK TO READ.
I have been a fan of the show for years but I cannot imagine what anyone was thinking when they put Ellen on the panel……she brings nothing to the table in a music competition.
Linda you should have tuned in from the first show …or open your ears..they have stated a the reason why Ellen was placed in the first place …you dont go writing things without getting the whole picture…look at the re-run or ask here..
I think that Andrew Garcia should sing Break Even by The scipt. With his beautiful soft voice he would do great it complements is voice and its some what up beat song. Which is a new and young song the judges will love it. I agreed with every word simon said. I usually do agree with him. Andrew I hope you have seen this and maybe one of your performances you will do this song.

WHAT IS UP WITH THE CHOICES OF SINGERS THIS YEAR. IT MAKES U WONDER IF THEY DONT NEED PAULA BACK. WHEN SHE WAS ON THE SHOW THERE WERE NEVER THIS MANY BAD SINGERS. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN IT THIS YEAR. THATS A SHAME AND THEN WHEN SIMON IS GONE NEXT YEAR THE SHOW WILL GO TO THE PITS. BAD COICES JUDGES
I think that this season is the worst by far. There was not one stand out performance. They hyped this up to be one of the best and I was completely blown away by the utter lack of talent. I felt that the women and men were equally terrible. Ellen is an incredible woman but couldn’t know any less about singing. Kara was also the worst decision the producers ever made. I also though tsimon was off. Lee DeWyze may have a decent voice, but his performance was not good. Casey james was decent. Thats pretty much as far as the talent went. In every past season there has been at least 1 incredible talent and this year there was literally none.
I really like Casey, Lee and Aaron,As for Ellen I absolutely love her and I think she brings some humor to the show. And for some unknown reason my daughter is pulling for Tim ( because she thinks he is hot) I personally agree with Simon on him. He is not great at all.

I don’t know why Simon says this is the best talent they’ve had so far, or words to that effectOn the contrary, last year had the best talent.
So Rovin, why is Ellen on the show because I agree with Linda, whe brings absolutely nothing to the show. She don’t even have any sensible advice for anyone.

I THINK SIMON GIVES HONEST ADVICE ….ELLEN ADDS HUMOR TO THE MIX…GETTING TIRED OF HEARING “DOG” AND “DOPE”…AND KARA HAS TALENT..AS FOR THE FINALISTS…I LIKE CASEY JAMES..AND DEWYZE….AND MANGUS..SHES GOT AN OLD SOUL…”BOX” IS GOOD…AND THE GIRL WITH WHITE HAIR…DOES ANYONE REMEMBER, TRACY NELSON? A SINGER FROM THE 70`S…OR JOAN ARMITRADING ? MAYBE THEY CAN SING ONE OF THEIR SONGS. ENJOY THE MOMENT.

Ellen is not funny, she stumbles so much you don’t know what she is saying. I don’t know if she’s nervous or just don’t fit in to the show. She is good on her show but as for american idol when it comes to her turn to comment she just mumbles a long speech with no relevence to music or singing.
the results of the boys elimination were very unfair! Joe Munoz was supposed to stay in the competition…He was way better than Tim Urban…and then I wonder, Is this a voice context?? or a beauty context!!
So, do the judges let contestants through because they know they will be able to rip into them? Casey will find his vocal range and eventually pick the right song. So when Kara doesn’t get her narcissitic needs met she gets mean. Kara, the show is not about you – step off! And Alex Lambert is great tonight! I’m glad he’s getting the input to succeed. Rovin – show Kara the way, sounds like you are made for each other:)
Tonight belongs to Lee Dewyze. In Fact, definitely top 2 material.
Why are they “pushing” for a girl to win this year. Is this not an equal opertunity thing? Or this is this overt canvassing geared up for political correctness? May as well spit this sham into two races, male and female. Pimping and pampering the sick girl is working, although I don’t think she will honestly think she won on her merrits, if she does win this. I’m trying to watching this stuff in China, and it reminds me of when they tried “Super Girl” here, because they thought for sure no woman would win. Oddly enough the winner was a Chinese version of k d lange (no offence to the great kdl}!
My prediction: Tim Urban is going to win.He looks like a Beattle,wears t-shirt like Simon, moved from a zero to a hero, and plays a guitar.
