American Idol 2016 singer Lee Jean Jr. gave a great performance during the showcase solo round in front of a live audience, but made a mistake that could have cost him the Top 24. His rendition of “Make It Rain” by Ed Sheeran was powerful, but American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez chastised him for his “immaturity” on stage.
We thought Lee Jean Jr. sounded terrific during his solo performance, but he made in error in trying to be too much of a performer on stage. Telling the crowd to be quiet once was cute, but doing it twice was over the top, according to American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. That just showed off how young and immature as a performer he is. Even so, the celebrity panel thinks he has the it factor they are looking for, and gives him a chance to work on his stage presence as part of the season 15 Top 24.
