American Idol 2010 will start on Tuesday with an all new round of auditions and with the departure of Paula Abdul the 4th judge spot was filled by a variety of guest judges including Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Victoria Beckham, and many others.

I do not feel anyone, regardless of fame, can replace Paula Abdul. She was the opposite of Simon, and this balanced everything out. She always had something nice to say about the contestants. She received a lot of garbage press, hinting and accusing her of drinking and drugs. Paula earned her place on Idol, she was an actual entertainer herself, and I might add a good one. This may be another nail in the coffin for American Idol. There are many people still angry over the Adam Lambert controversy and whether or not he was cheated out of the win. Let’s just hope Simon has the time to abandon ship
Noone will be able to replace Paula, exspecialy Ellen, What does Ellen know about music and how had it is to get into that line of entertanment. Not sure that I will watch the show much this year, and if Simon leave sorry Randy but I wont watch and neither will most of my friends.

I love American Idol and can’t wait to see what Ellen has to offer. Paula wil be surely missed even though at times she is very incoherent.
OMG. I think this will be last year for Idol. With Paula gone and now Simon there is not going to be anyone left to make millions watch each week. I thought Kara was a mistake. It was perfect when it was Randy, Simon, and Paula. Now the two will be gone. Randy is awesome but he can not not make up Paula and Simon leaving. Don’t get me wrong, I love Ellen but this is Idol and it has to be Randy, Simon and Paula. Sorry Idol. You are losing a hell of a show by doing this.
I think Ellen a poor choice – with no music background. She’s just going to be cracking jokes all the time – I don’t think she will be able to realize it’s not about her. No street cred for Ellen and that’s what the show is about – making it…what does she know about that? I’ll miss Simon also….

Guest judge Victoria Beckham is the absolute worst guest judge thay have ever had. Does that girl have a personality? She must be the most miserable person on the planet. If she was on one more week my season would be over. Whomever asked her to be on should be fired.

I cant believe Ellen is replacing Paula.. I was so shocked when i found out NOW Simon is leaving.. Whats really going on?? I think alot of people will stop watching once they are both gone.. Very bad choice. But also we got to think of How much longer did they really want to keep going with american Idol. It is def. going to be history and a bomb when both of them gone. Ellen?? HA HA. She just likes the spot light… SHe is funny i give her that but she has no music ability. SO what she says she has been judged all her life.. I have too. Can i be a judge so i can have a great paycheck? Come on now. What is this world coming to?
i think they will learn,never mess with a good thing. if it ain’t broke don’t fix it…

I guess Paula is gone, Simon is on his way out (He even walked out of last nights episode at one point), and now Guest Judges, and NO Ellen??? What a mess…
@Bob: Idol frequently uses guest judges during the auditions. You’ll see this all through the audition phase this season as has been done in the past.
Ellen will be one of the permanent, season-long judges once the audition cycle is over.
This show will never be the same without Paula and specially Simmon…I personally think after Simmon leaves this show will go downhill. I can probably say that this season will be the last for me to see only to see Simmon then after that I could probably say that I could care less about the show. Sorry guys but Simmon and Paula made this show a complete HIT
I have been an on again off again watcher based on the contestants. Paula actually had music background and I liked her as an artist but she became a joke of a judge so no viewer loss. I agree that the guest judge is a strange concept but read that Shania Twain is one upcoming which is awesome. They should always be music performers. Will watch to see how Ellen does. The contestants decide if I watch or not based on their talent, not the judges.
OMG, I can’t even watch this Beckman woman, she’s so ugly and ematiated with her skin and bones it’s awful to look at her.
“Beckham” seemed a VERY VERY toned down picture of Paula with not much to say. But with a different judge each week they may not speak out much.

i seriously would not want to watch american idol this year with boring judges. i don’t think anyone will be interested in watching. but i would still like to see wat shit will happen in the show and i hope to see some contestents walking out!!! 🙂
Good one ! thanks.Just one to take a chance to give a tip to those with cracked heel..make sure tht your heel is dry after you go 2 washroom or take a bath or else moisture will be stripped.put some baby lotion on your heels and wear a pair of socks at nite…it works on me!
