Every year, American Idol contestants come from all walks of life from all over the country with big dreams of becoming a superstar. In one of the latest American Idol 2014 spoilers promos, “Season XIII is Marching In,” we get the chance to meet some of those fresh, hopeful faces competing for the crown in season 13. Will one of these guys or girls end up being the next American Idol winner?
The search for a superstar returns with the American Idol 2014 premiere on January 15. From all the press and promos we’ve seen for season 13, the producers are obviously pushing two very strong angles this time around — and neither of those have a lot to do with American Idol judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr. The last few seasons, all the hype seems to have been about the judges instead of the contestants. For season 13, all that has been turned upside down.
We hope seeing all these promos giving us tons of focus on the contestants means we’ll be really featuring what’s really important on American Idol 2014 — the talent. Let’s just hope that all this hype really does produce some of the best singers we’ve seen in years on the show or we’ll just end up with another terrible year of bad ratings and lackluster viewership, no matter how much hype the producers put out.
