Now that we’ve reached the first week of the American Idol 2014 finals, we thought it was a nice time for a little flashback. Back during the auditions, American Idol judges Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban talked about the journey of finding a hopeful future superstar.
Keith Urban says he loves “the simplicity of finding these guys or girls in these little, unknown towns that have this incredible talent, and they may not have anything else, but they have it.”
Harry Connick Jr. talks about critiquing the contestants and says that “honesty has to be the source of every single comment… Sometimes it comes across as praiseworthy, sometimes it’s not so easy to hear.”
