American Idol 2018 Top 24 semifinalist Catie Turner hopes her performance during Sunday night’s solo performances was enough to impress the judges so they send her on to the Top 14.
She belted out her version of Blondie’s “Call Me” and if the judges’ reaction is any indication to how the results are going to play out, Catie should be just fine.
Following a standing ovation, Luke Bryan lead the charge with praise.
I tell you what, I couldn’t quit watching you,” Luke said. “Thats the main thing. That’s what we’re trying to do … to find people that when they walk you you wonder what they’re going to do next. You’re quirky and crazy but we love you. And your voice is always there. Your voice never lets us down.
Katy Perry agreed. What a cool song choice,” she said. “What an incredible presentation. The sounds is growing. I just love your whole package. I just love who you are and never chance.”
“You were something special when we first saw you and now you have taken your style and made us believers in your style,” Lionel Richie added. “There’s a word called personality that goes along with celebrity, with a hit record, you’ve got all of that.”
