It was a busy Christmas season for engagements in the American Idol family. Both judge Steven Tyler and former Idol hopeful Danny Gokey proposed over the Christmas break, though not to each other.
Steven Tyler proposed to girlfriend Erin Brady and made his family none too happy with the news. Apparently none of them saw it coming and aren’t particularly fond of the future Mrs. Tyler III.
Then there’s Danny Gokey who found new romance after losing his first wife in 2008 during heart surgery. Gokey proposed to his girlfriend Leyicet Peralta over the holiday break and are planning a rapid wedding for January. The couple is asking guests to give gifts in the form of donations to his first wife’s charity.
