Six performers remain as part of the American Idol 2013 competition this season on FOX. Those singers will take the stage on Wednesday night in hopes of securing your votes and hopefully your “SuperVotes” where viewers can quickly allocate 50 block votes in one swipe.
With so few singers left in the race it would be difficult for FOX to fill a full two-hours with just one song each so buckle in for a fun night of double performances. The stakes are higher when they have twice the chances to disappoint, but also double the opportunity to soar if they take advantage of the spotlight.
Thursday night’s performance will feature another incredible American Idol alumni event when both Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery return to the stage as this week’s guest performers. Clarkson will deliver her new single “People Like Us” while Scotty will cover an undisclosed song. Any guesses what he’ll perform that night?
This should be a big week as no girl has yet been eliminated from the Top 10 finalists group. Only Lazaro Arbos remains for the guys which may surprise many viewers. Can Lazaro keep the momentum alive and score a seat in the final five? We’ll find out on Thursday night!
it’s hard enough watching lazaro blow the lyrics to one song, but two?? this should be his last week. the girls so far eclipse him it isn’t even funny. he’s very pleasant to look at but in the end the voice will sell more records than the looks…in an ideal world

Lazaro should not have made top 40 much less top 6. The fact the he is still there is a total disgrace. Pity votes need to stop.
If you look at Twitter you can see it’s not pity, it’s teenage girls who think he’s cute. I agree overdue to go home.

Your opinion is as important as anyone elses. There is No reason to call another person’s views “stupid”. Opinions supported by name calling are not valid opinions. Lazaro simply needs more time and experience to realize his full potential. How many professional singers do you know of that continually forget lyrics and need a duet partner to cover for them? There is no racism and no hate involved.
This is a singing contest. He was good enough to make the top forty. He should never have gotten Hollywood. But, better him than Charlie.
Please go home Lazaro! I doubt it will happen with all the girls and women voting for him because he is cute or because of his story. He is ruining the show.
Ok. Here’s the deal. The Idol finale is scheduled for May 16th. They need to have two singers left on that day in order for the finale to go through. But if they have one elimination every week, then on that day there would only be one singer left. This means the judges HAVE to use the save and there will be no double elimination the following week. We also know that the judges have to use their save by top 5, which means they have two more weeks to do this. So this is what is going to happen. If any, and I mean ANY, of the girls is voted off this week, she will be saved. Because if they don’t use it this week, then they HAVE to use it the following week on whoever gets eliminated. Even if it’s Lazaro. Imagine how mad production would be if they were forced to save Lazaro, their one chance to get rid of him ruined. So this week expect the judges save to be used in order to keep the balance of girls to guys high and to avoid being forced to use it on Lazaro next week. Unless of course he somehow gets voted off this week, which I don’t think will happen but if it does they will use the save the following week.
Voters need to vote a lot for Janelle so Lazaro will more likely be last .
