Season 14 American Idol winner Nick Fradiani kicked off the annual PBS National Memorial Day Concert in Washington, DC this past weekend with a moving performance of the “Star Spangled Banner.”
The newly crowned American Idol winner was supported by the National Symphony Orchestra, and bracketed by a flag core representing the branches of the military. According to Rickey.org, this was Nick Fradiani’s “first official gig” as the latest winner of American Idol, not counting his publicity appearances on various talk shows.
Although there might have been a tiny bit of nerves bleeding through his performance, Nick did a grand job with an incredibly difficult song. A fitting kick off of his post-Idol career before he sets off on the American Idol Live Tour this summer.
Clark baby is the real deal. Even when he sings the National Anthem, he rocks it! Nick not so much.
We really need to change the national anthem to America The Beautiful. Love Nick, though.
