The American Idol 2016 schedule for premiere week has been released by FOX and the final season is rapidly approaching! After 15 awesome seasons, the American Idol 2016 schedule is the last one we will ever post for the show. Brings a bit of tear to the eyes, it really does.
So, when does American Idol start for 2016? Well, FOX has announced the two-part season 15 premiere will kick off on Wednesday, January 6 at 8PM ET/PT with a two hour show. The second half of the premiere will air the next evening, on Thursday, January 7th, from 8PM to 10PM ET/PT.
Don’t get comfortable with that schedule, however, as things will be changing quickly. The second week of the American Idol season 15 schedule has the Wednesday night reduced to just one hour. Then, further down the line in March, the American Idol schedule will go down to just one night a week with episodes only on Thursdays.
Keep up to date here for the latest on the American Idol 2016 schedule as more information is released!

The Voice brought back some of their “TIRED” ole singers to perform last night (Weds.), why doesn’t AI bring back Caleb & Jena? Caleb could do his new “AMPED UP VERSION” of “Fighting Gravity” and all of us would love to hear a Jena original or two! Perhaps because the show is “ALSO” SPOPNSERED” by 19 and both are now separated from their clutches? But Kelly Clarkson has been also for over a decade.
There does seem to have been a lot of missed opportunities this season (like many recent seasons) for bringing back past talent. I wish they would do that more often.
