American Idol judge Keith Urban called Top 8 finalist Caleb Johnson a “rock and roll viking” after his performance of “Chain of Fools” by Aretha Franklin Wednesday night. We absolutely love that description and couldn’t agree more!
In a night of American Idol Top 8 performances ranging from great to gruesome, Caleb Johnson once again stole the show. Not to say it was his absolute best song so far this season, but it was a strong showing and definitely one of the best of the night. We just love Caleb no matter what he sings, and the American Idol 2014 judges seem to agree!
In his critique of the rocker, Keith Urban called Caleb Johnson a “blues warrior, you are a soul conqueror, you Caleb are a rock and roll viking!” Jennifer Lopez said that was pretty much a “perfect” description and it seems like Caleb has just been waiting his whole life to get on stage and do what he does. Harry was also complimentary and says it was a nice job, but he would like to hear Caleb do something soft just to change things up.

What happened. Caleb sang “Into The Void” for his audition. Why was his song changed tonight.

Caleb has it all – stage presence, charisma, powerhouse voice, personality, looks… in other words; the whole package! He SHOULD win. In my book Caleb has already won. HE DEFINITELY OUTSHINES THEM ALL!!!!
