The Top 8 contestants are back on American Idol 2014 this week after the Judges used their Save to bring Sam Woolf back from the brink of elimination. Now they’re going back to the 80’s for your votes.

Starting the Idol week off on Wednesday night at 8PM we’ll get all new performances from the Top 8 within the 80’s theme which is sure to be fun cause who doesn’t like some 80’s hits? Of course many of these contestants weren’t even born in the 80’s which is making me feel none too young right now!
Then on Thursday night we’ll be back at the new time and shorter show duration when the American Idol results show kicks off at 9PM ET with our 30-minute live blog of the whole show. Now that the Save is used up there are no more second chances.
Can’t wait to see who pulls out the big performance this week now that the safety net is gone and it’s all or nothing for these American Idol finalists!

I like these song choices and would like to see Caleb sing Home Sweet Alabama, I really don’t care for his style so far. I like Alex and Sam in the Guys favorites so far and Jena and Jessica favorite for the gals. I will vote on how well they sing.
what do people see in Jessica ..ok she sang at some smokey bars but, I dont like the yoddling stevie nicks wanna be way..I dont like her voice either…
Malaya can sing way better as far as Im concerened…and yes, i like Jena too..
Literally NONE of them were born before 1990!! JLO doesn’t even act like she was born before 1990. I wish they would have chosen 80s New Wave as the theme, not something as broad as simply 80s. New Wave has had so much influence on all music.
I would like Caleb and Jena to sing nothing, so that I don’t have to fast forward through whatever b.s. loud/painful performance they pull out this week.
Really could not agree more. They are basically karaoke singers.

I really don’t care for Caleb, he always sings the same songs. I always gave each singer at least 40 votes, but I’m not going to do that this week.
He likes his rock, but I’d like for him to sing something by Gino Vannelli.
To answer your question about who will win. IMO either Jessica or Sam.
I hope Jessica sings a Cher song, preferably “Just Like jesse James.
she sings that, and she just might go down in flames and burn herself right off the show….she sucks….IMO
Caleb should do “House of Broken Love” by Great White, this is a fantastic song
