Last night during the American Idol 2013 Las Vegas Rounds the ladies took to the stage and a battle of the country girls broke out. OK, so it wasn’t that dramatic. But Janelle Arthur and Rachel Hale were quietly going to battle because the judges probably never had any plan on putting them both through because of their similar styles.
In the end, Janelle came out on top with her version of Lady Antebellum’s “Just A Kiss.” The judges and fans were slightly mixed on Janelle’s performance, but they went with her over Rachel. I thought it was a fine performance and with her already established fanbase, she could be what production is looking for this season. Could she be the next female American Idol? We’ll have to wait and see.
