If American Idol 2014 runner-up Jena Irene had to lose to anyone, she’s glad it was her new best friend Caleb Johnson. The two became super close during their time on the show, so much so that they are even going to her prom together. Just as friends though, as Caleb notes that Jena is just 17 and he’s 22, so don’t even be thinking anything illegal is going there folks!
In a post-finale interview about their choices and regrets for the American Idol finale, Jena Irene said was just “so honored” to share the stage with her friend Caleb Johnson. “He’s so incredbily talented and the fact that we got to perform in that venue with it packed full. It’s a dream come true.”
“Absolutely. The same with you,” Caleb said. “It’s just been… We’ve learned so much just from each other, like watching each other, and jamming with each other. This whole experience has been so amazing and such an honor.”
What else is she going to say? Give me a break!
