More Idol 2011 news for Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams fans. Part of the report yesterday on Haley’s upcoming debut album also discussed her project with fellow Idol alumni Casey. The pair have teamed back up again for a cover of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” which sounds like a perfect match for these two singers. Watch their interview with E! News below for more details.

The song has a terrific jazz vibe and good tempo, but IMHO Casey’s voice is too high to make for a good duet. I think Haley needs to duet with someone with a deeper voice.
I always thought they made a terrific pair, singing and otherwise. I really think he has a bad crush on her, anyway.
Funny, I always that they are not a good musical or romantic pair. Maybe if they are auditioning for roles in “Beauty and the Beast” … The musical. Nothing other than that. No how, no way.

I really like the sound of their blending voices. I believe they will go far in the music career. I must say that 2011 was one of the greatest years for Idol talent. Wish them both well.
The little taste of this piece is tantalizing! I think it’s going to be very special and can’t wait to hear the whole thing and download it. Yes, Casey’s voice is a bit soprano on this song, but I think they sound incredibly jazzy and retro. I loved what I could hear so far. They are both old beyond their years when it comes to appreciating some old standards that should never be allowed to die.
How anyone could say they don’t sound good together has no memory of “Moanin'” they did on AI. Check it out on YouTube if you’ve forgotten. Why everyone has to get into the romantic side, I have no idea. I think anyone in Haley’s presence would be blown away by her beauty, style and talent–so if Casey is smitten, it’s not surprising. I think it says a lot about Haley’s character that she has never let on that the pairing is something she just wouldn’t go for. That would have been so demeaning to Casey. I’m very happy for both of them that they are friends.

All I can say is, I absolutely adore Haley. I enjoyed the song. Haley is awesome, and Casey was ok too, I just love her voice so much, I didn’t pay that much attention to him. On the third listen, I agree his voice needs to be lower in this song.
I am so anxiously awaiting her first single, and even more anxiously awaiting the release of her first album.
I will buy this song from itunes, because I love everything she sings, and well, because I love everything she sings LOL.
