American Idol season 13 is over and winner Caleb Johnson is already working on his debut album. Now it’s time to make way for the new crop of American Idol 2015 hopefuls! If you have the mad desire to be on the show next season, don’t wait around because auditions are already happening right now.
Singers who want to audition for American Idol 2015 better get a move on because the online deadline is July 1st, and the in-person auditions will start up across the country in just a couple of weeks. For those hoping to apply, remember that you have to be between 15 and 28 in 2014.
Those attending auditions in-person should be prepared to show up very early and have a very, very long wait. However, many of the locations will NOT allow camping out or hopefuls to line up before 6AM. That doesn’t mean, of course, that people won’t be lurking in mass to rush the line as soon as they can!
Here’s the list of audition cities and dates for season 14:
- Minneapolis, MN – Wednesday, June 18 – Mariucci Arena, University of Minnesota – [Google Map]
- New Orleans, LA – Wednesday, June 25 – Lakefront Arena, University of New Orleans
- Long Island, NY – Wednesday, July 23 – Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum
- Nashville, TN – Wednesday, July 30 – Nashville Municipal Auditorium
- San Francisco, CA – Monday, September 29 – Cow Palace San Francisco
Once again, the American Idol auditions bus will also be rolling around the country to small towns throughout America to find talent that can’t make it to the big cities on the list. Some of the cities the bus will be visiting include Portland, OR; Portland, ME; Reno, NV; Columbus, OH; Richmond, VA; Albuquerque, NM; Amarillo, TX; Myrtle Beach, SC; Branson, MO; Tallahassee, FL; and Kansas City, MO.
Has anyone ever done the audition bus? What happens exactly?
