Last week we saw the Top 24 lose five of its singers and this week on American Idol 2016 it’s all set to happen again. From there the American Idol Top 14 will be revealed and it won’t be time for them to rest with a round of rapid eliminations just around the corner.
After Thursday, February 18th the Top 14 will be official, though if you can’t wait we have the elimination spoilers here. Those singers will return the following Wednesday, February 24, 2016 for a Top 14 elimination and Wild Card performance show. What’s going on that night is the reveal by Judges of production’s pick of eight of those fourteen singers. The discarded six will perform for your votes. Yes, viewer voting finally starts next week.
Wild Card performance results will be revealed the next night, Thursday the 25th when two of the six Wild Cards will be awarded a spot within the Top 10. Those ten finalists will immediately perform for your votes. Get all the details on how to vote for American Idol 2016 so you can be ready to go.
Two of the Top 10 singers will be eliminated the following week when the show drops to once a week episodes for the month of March. We’ll have Thursday-only shows starting with March 3rd until the finale week at the beginning of April.
Once two singers are cut from the Top 10 we’ll see the remaining eight finalists perform on March 3rd, viewers will vote, and the next week another two singers will be cut. Once we reach the Top 6 the pace slows and we go back to single weekly eliminations for the Top 6 through Top 3.
