Yesterday was a good one for the final 2 contestants on American Idol as they both signed recording contracts.  Lee signed with 19 recordings limited and RCA, the same as Daughtry and Adam Lambert while Crystal signed with 19 recordings limited and Jive records who produced Kris Allen and Jordin Sparks’ albums.

It was an awesome ending to an otherwise boring season on American Idol and Lee Dewyze broke down even before he was announced the American Idol winner while Simon Cowell managed to tear up a little during his farewell speech.

Singing for the last time for our votes tonight on American Idol was our Top 2 Crystal and Lee and they were both amazing in their own unique way.  We also got to hear Simon Cowell’s final praises and criticisms as an American Idol judge.

Update: Top Idol is reporting that the coronation song is called “Ever Since Tomorrow”.  This is not true.
