Tonight on American Idol 2013 viewers will get to watch the audition city where the feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey finally boiled over.
In the poor quality footage filmed and leaked by Nigel Lythgoe an anonymous production member, Nicki explodes at Mariah in an expletive-laden rant. The fight seems to have been mostly one-sided with Mariah staying calm while Nicki curses and repeatedly shouts “off with her head!”
Many suspected the feud, which Mariah said forced her to get more security, was fabricated to create hype and build ratings as the series continues to fight declines, though producers are adamant that the bad blood on the American Idol judges panel is very much real.
In the shakey-cam video available below, the dueling divas can be heard saying:
Nicki: Think I’m playin? Think this s*** is a f****** joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Think it’s a joke? Say one more disrespectful thing to me, if you say one more disrespectful thing to me — off with your head!
Mariah: I am not being disrespectful.
Nicki: Off with your head, off with your head.
Viewers have complained the fighting between judges is distracting from the main goal of the show: finding great talent. We’ll have to wait and see if the productions’ dreams of piquing interest backfires as they continue to air more of the drama.

how totally ridiculous. If I were Mariah, I’d preserve my dignity by quitting and getting as far away from that crazy woman as possible. I don’t need junk like that to watch on tv or anywhere else, it sounds like a Walmart brawl to me with one person being an obnoxious filth-spewing loudmouth.

Bullshit! Mariah may be a diva, but she’s been in the business for more than 20 years. Nicki has been around for what… 2.. maybe 3 years at the most? And she’s more vain than Mariah, the way she sits there with that damn golden mirror.

Nicki need s to stop giving these contestants stupid nick names. She argued with Mariah and the other judges that they are forcing the contestants into decisions about their styles, but what she is doing with the nick names is worse.

I, for one, Will not watch this show tonight! AI is looking for ratings!I am not a thrill seeker, I prefer to skip this show, and when the fights are over, I may or may not start watching again. I may decide I don’t need to watch this show because Nikki is just what this show doesn’t need. She is very offensive. She should be replaced or stick with three judges instead of a fourth judge with no class and a big mouth. Not watching tonight and suggest that everyone does the same.
I’ve been an avid viewer of AI since season one… but, after watching the first episode this season, I was very disappointed.. but, decided to watch the next week anyway. The talent, as always, is incredible, but the judges are turning it into a circus… shame on Randy for getting involved! Nikki has ‘cheapened’ the show but thanks to Keith for trying to balance it out with some class…. I might be doing a little channel surfing next week… 🙁

i been a big fan of American idol for 10 years and i never seen this
type of behavior it is (was) a great family show but now i do not watch
it i hate to sit and watch two grown people fighting and to this day i
do not know why American Idol got Nicki, they are there to judge
performance i think Nicki should be taken off the show. Mariah is great
talent and very professional in what she does and do not need someone
like Nicki bitching all the time. So American Idol you do not need me
watching your program.
