  1. I so hope they ease up on the humiliating auditions by delusional people. It’s mean and uncomfortable to watch. Showcasing folks making fools of themselves is not something to teach young viewers. There’s enough meanness in the world already.

    • I totally agree with this! Lets keep the beginning of Idol as good as the mid and later episodes. I have loathed the early freak-show parts of Idol all these years!

  2. i would like to see how you take the 1,000’s or more and pair them down to the final group…why waste our time by showing the poor souls who don’t have a clue of their talent, but know the goal of being bad is good! Love the judges! Jack

  3. I agree I hope the audition episodes focus more on the people with actual talent over the delusional people or the people who are joke auditions. I know some people who wait until Hollywood or some that wait until the live shows to watch as they don’t like watching the auditions because of the delusional people or joke auditions.

  4. another season…let’s hope that the judges do better than their counterparts on x factor. let’s hope that randy loses the dawg, steven loses the “it’s beautiful”, and jennifer loses the “i love you”. let’s hope that the 12-15 year olds have thumbs that stiffen up and can’t text votes to the pretty boy of the competition as opposed to the TALENT in the competition. and let’s hope this season brings us another adam or carrie or kelly. SING ON, AMERICA!!!!!!!!

    • If I suddenly acquired a magic wand, I’d change the voting policy. That has been Idol’s biggest flaw for the last few years.

    • Hopefully Randy will also lose the “in it to win it” line. And I agree with the voting system. It’s in need of an overhaul and should be one vote per device. The Voice limited the number of votes someone can cast from a device, as does DWTS but American Idol magically can’t. I just don’t think they want to do it though as they love saying “We got 75 million votes!” so I doubt it will happen.

  5. I liked the show tonight, although,  some of the people going through to Hollywood did not seem to have a good voice.

  6. this season has started out good, and I hope it continues this way! I love American Idol and hope it continues to premier 🙂

  7. I have been a viewer for many years and enjoyed your process of  finding young talent.  Last week Steven Tyler did something that has ended my love for the program.  When he took off his clothes and pulled down his briefs to the camara (which they blurred, thank God) Steven over step his bounds to be a judge on your show.  He uses language that they have to beep out when aired and this is NOT exceptable for the age group you are working with. I would like to see Steven Tyler appologized for what he did before he jumped into the water for a swim.  What a Terrible roll model for the kids who work so hard on American Idol.  It is sad to have Steven Tyler as one of your judges who has NO self control.  Please dismiss this bad influence from your  show.
    Thanks,
    Mae Terpenning

    • Steven Tyler is sometimes OTT but he is good for the show,at least he had to make it the hard way to the top of his profession also speaking as another person in his age group, sometimes America grow up, you are all to much bible preaching nation. Having watched the eliminations from the 24 t0 the top 13 I wonder what happens to the  others?

They are shown a new life, but then told sorry, what  is there after American idol and why can’t a contestant return the following year?

  8. i really wanna be on but i can not find out anythiing at all it’s driving me insane i’m the best singer in my town i’m an A & B student and i know i have what it takes but i cant find anything

  9. Also what Steven did is no more then you would see on any nudist beach in Europe. Grow up America

  10. Shannon should not have been in the bottom 3 tonight!! She should have taken DeAndre’s spot in the tour!!!! That was fixed because DeAndre is terrible every week and his hair, don’t even get me started on that! HE IS HORRIBLE.

  11. The last two years of American Idol have been AWESOME! This year is better than last year!! The judges, the coaching by Jimmy and Ryan as host is outstanding. Don’t change a thing for season 2013.

  12. Does Anyone Know When They Release The Dates For Next Seasons Auditions?
