American Idol 2014 Rush Week is finally over, and now we can look back and remember a few about the torturous semifinals round we actually enjoyed. We posted earlier about some of our favorite moments from the girls, now it’s time for a shout out to some of the guys who made this week worth watching.
We were sad to see Malcolm Allen get cut on Thursday night because we thought he delivered a lot of passion in his semifinals performance, even if it was kind of rough. We have to include him in our favorite moments from the guys this week because of that despite his elimination.
We also couldn’t help but love Caleb Johnson and his confident rocker attitude. The song may not be one of American Idol‘s greatest hits, but you just could not help cracking a grin while he was on stage. We were also pleased to see Ben Briley prove he deserved America’s vote to stay with a terrific performance. Sam Woolf impressed us again despite our general bias against the cute WGWG syndrome.

The best moment from the guys for us, however, came from truly talented artist Alex Preston, who just needs a recording contract right now, no matter what happens to him on Idol.
