Jimmy Iovine Talks American Idol 2013 Top 10 – Video

Jimmy Iovine - American Idol

The American Idol 2013 Top 10 singers have moved on in to the past, but that doesn’t mean we can’t go back and see what Jimmy Iovine had to say, especially when Jimmy is just about our favorite part of the show.

So what did Jimmy have to say about that lost crop of singers? It’s was ladies night for sure. Iovine couldn’t stop praising the girls for their performances with Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, and Janelle Arthur Amber Holcomb rounding out the best of the American Idol night for him and we’d have to agree.

The guys weren’t a complete loss though as Jimmy agreed with Randy that Burnell Taylor rescued the guys from being a complete miss for the night. They’re going to have to really turn things up if they want to survive through Top 9 week’s round of shows.

Watch the video below of Jimmy discussing the Top 10 performances:

What did you think of Jimmy Iovine’s assessment of the American Idol 2013 singers? Was he too harsh or spot on with his critique of their performances?

  1. jimmy is the voice of reason on the show and tells it like it is. if there is anyone the contestants should listen to, it’ s him.. after all,he’s going to be working with some of them down the road.

      • Its not visible on my android tablet or phone. I did find it searching youtube. I agree with Jimmy about Angela. I dont know how she can top the performance of her own song You Set Me Free. Her covers of other artists’ songs are going to seem lacking in comparison. Impossible choice for her whether to use it to get into the top 10 or save it to get into top 2 or 3. If I dont consider Angela’s original song performance, then I think Candice is the better singer in general.

  2. If i’m not mistaken, i clearly remember Jimmy saying Amber was in his top three.

  3. I am appalled that Jimmy Lovine would actually be able to publicly
degrade the sound guy like he did when the sound would not come through when trying to listen to one of the contestants. It was degrading to the sound guy…mistakes are made..he is not perfect himself, and to ridicule him the way he did by stating how many he has fired and posted their pictures so anyone can “be aware” in the future….shame on you Jimmy! You have lost my respect, you acted like an arrogant jerk and I as a viewer wish the sound guy had taken your “backwards” cap and put it where the sun does not shine. I am so mad at American Idol for making a mockery out of that poor sound guy’s mistake, that I don’t even want to watch your show anymore. Thank God for “X-Factor” and Simon Cowell. American Idol producers, you messed up royally. Jimmy Lovine, what an arrogant JERK!!! “YOU” need fired, hang your “MUG” on the wall for all to see! And, wipe that ARROGANT smile off your face…..SOUND GUY, you should have nailed him to the “Frame”. I hope to get some response from the producers, that probably will not happen. I will tell you this, I have never commented on anything before this in my life. This is horrible to treat a sound guy in this respect. Again, SHAME on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
