Nigel had been revealing bits of the American Idol Season 12 songs for the upcoming performance show tonight, but now we’ve got the full list.
The themes had long rumored to have been diva songs and songs from the year they were born and that’s just what we’re looking at in today’s leaks.

Man…, another one of those nights filled with mostly ballads. The only three potentially “uptempo” songs are one of Candice’s, one of Janelle’s and one of Angie’s choices. Unless of course, some of them are doing change-ups to some of their tunes.
I think Amber will be in trouble due to her horrible song choices- two ballads, one of them is even more than half a century old. Who gave her inputs on this? Somebody ought to tell her to stay in this competition you have to “at least” be current most of the times because there are tons of young viewers out there who more or less vote for “current” songs they like and care less about the singers.
Janelle’s choice will also spell disaster, and I’m not sure, but, perhaps both Amber and Janelle had gotten their inputs from the same persons who secretly wanted both of ’em out. I am curious as to how Janelle will spin Parton’s hit song and make it into her own.
Of all the ballads, I want to listen to Kree’s rendition of Celine Dion’s “Have You Ever Been In Love?” She has a chance to kill this song if she’s doing it right. The other song of hers is a very typical Kree’s choice, i.e. a potent sleep aid remedy.
Despite the risk of tonight’s show of fast becoming a doze off festival for some, maybe even many, of the viewers, it could actually become a very interesting night, or maybe not.
Can’t wait to hear Amber sing Barbra Streisand’s song – I hope she can nail it. But – you’re right about the young – they vote on the current songs. They may not like it – but if she can nail it – she may be in there for weeks ahead.
I think Candice sounds so much like Whitney Houston!!! She’s going to be THE next idol!!! I’m rooting for her. She has got true God given talent!!! God bless you girl!
